Chapter 8: The Brothers That Care Forgot

*New Orleans, Louisiana-Park, Morning*

Rebekah and Claire are pushing Faye and Tatianna in baby swings playfully with joy.

*The Compound-The Dinner Room*

Klaus is seating at the head and Elijah seats across from him and Kol, and Finn seats next to Kol and Klaus makes an announcement, "We arrived here into this world as innocents, wide eyed, vulnerable. It is the job of our parents to nurture and protect us, unfortunately our own parents failed miserably at even the most parental tasks, but we will not be holding to the past they created for us! Today anew future awaits forget your animosity towards Elijah and myself instead join us who truly deserves her ailed our mother! Do this and we will welcome you with open arms..." Kol reaches for a plate of deserts and Elijah moves the plate from him and he sighs and Klaus comments, "But if you continue to oppose us..." He smiles and says, "A denial of pastries will be the least of your concerns!" Kol responds and says, "If all you wanted was vile allegiance against mother dearest you should have just said so, instead of me at night shackled to a wall!" Klaus smiles and Elijah says sternly, "Yes this was Niklaus, my recommendation was to remove your limbs one by one until you comply!" Klaus laughs and stands up and assures them standing behind their chairs, "We have no desire to torture you, provided you stand with us as brothers!" Finn turns to him and then Elijah and then back to Klaus and says, "Brothers? Does that word even imply to us after all these centuries of betrayal, and is his loyalty to you even rewarded?" Klaus walks away from them and Finn continues, "If so tell me Niklaus where is our sister? Rebekah?" Elijah glares at him and he continues, "She was blindly loyal to you for a thousand yrs and now nowhere to be found!" Klaus says nothing and he continues, "Where did our sister go? And how did she escape your vile imaginations?!" Klaus laughs and turns to him and says, "You think me vile?" He sits down in a chair across from Elijah and continues, "Well what than, do you make of the one who cursed us?!" He smiles and Finn responds, "She was trying to make you mortal again, and you both refused her..." He smiles and shakes his head and says, "It just shows how far you've fallen!" Elijah grabs a knife in his hand and twiddles with it and Finn continues and says, "I suspect Rebekah will have a different response to her proposal, you see unlike the two of you she always clung to her humanity!" Back at the Park, Claire and Rebekah smile at the babies and than sees a crow appear and Rebekah looks worried and scared. Elijah responds pissed off and informs him, "Rebekah is off limits to you and if you pursue her you will suffer!" Finn looks at him shocked and Klaus says to Elijah, "Do not let him goad you Elijah! Neither will he or Esther find her and unless she wants to be found, and she does not!" Finn smiles and says, "Esther is quite determined..." Back at the Park, more crows appears and Claire asks, "What's wrong?!" Rebekah whispers in her ear, 'It's Esther, my mother, she's found us! We have to go!!!' Claire nods. Finn continues, "Esther has been searching for Rebekah since the day she returned and I imagine it's only a matter of time!!!" Elijah grabs him by the shirt and throws him onto the table and Klaus stands up annoyed and Elijah bites Finn and he screams in pain.

*Back at The Abattoir/The Compound*

Klaus puts Elijah up against a wall and says pissed off, "I enjoy a good bloodletting as much as anyone..." He grabs his handkerchief and Elijah takes it and wipes his mouth and Klaus continues, "But our brothers have power and knowledge of Esther's plans, we need them alive!" Elijah responds and says, "Can you imagine what they would do to Rebekah, to Faye, Claire, Tatianna?!" Klaus responds and says, "Rebekah and Claire has been cloaked by powerful magic! Look focus at the task at hand, we need to persuade our brothers..." Elijah walks past him and says, "I'm through with persuasion!" Klaus grabs him by the arm and comments, "Has the earth shifted on it's axis, you needed restraint from me!" Elijah's phone rings and he answers it and Rebekah speaks while holding Faye in her left hand, "It's me and Claire, were on the run! Esther found us, I lost her bloody starlings, but I have no idea where to go!" Klaus responds and says, "Tell her to head West, I call Caroline!" Rebekah protests as she gets Faye into the car seat, "Do not tell Caroline, Esther is too smart for that!" Claire gets Tatianna in her baby seat and closes the door and then gets in the passenger side of the car and Rebekah continues, "The only advantage we have is that she thinks Faye and Tatianna died!" Rebekah puts Faye in her baby seat and then shuts the door and gets inside the driver's seat of the car and says, "Text me with more plans!" She hangs up. Elijah hangs up and says to Klaus sternly, "Go, I'll take care of Kol and Finn!" Klaus responds and says, "Splendid and I assume in your hands they'll be dead by nightfall!" Elijah responds and says, "I'll show some restraint, but Faye needs her father and Tatianna needs her uncle!" Klaus responds and says, "What they need is- what we need is allies to help us defeat our mother! Finn and Kol must be turned to our side without their help there be nowhere left for Faye and Tatianna to run!" Elijah responds and says, "Niklaus your child and our niece..." Klaus cuts him off and says sad, "I have waited months to see Faye and Tatianna, I can wait one more day!" Elijah walks past him and starts to leave and Klaus turns to him and says, "Elijah, do whatever it takes to keep them safe!" Elijah responds and says, "I give you my word!" Elijah leaves.
