Chapter 25

March 10, 1956 Mary's Animal Hospital

7:00am Towards the end of Luna the bird's operation

Jackie was quite bored. She'd sat here for four hours, just looking through expired magazines.

Only a while longer and she could get home and make up for lost sleep.

Well not home but...

Her thoughts were interrupted by the door bursting open and none other than John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Arabella Bouvier Kennedy came into the room.

John looked in panic when he entered but when he saw her, he gave a great sigh and speed walked toward her, Bella on his hip.

He hugged her, shamelessly in front of the front desk attendant.

Jackie suddenly felt bad, Jack, his older brother Joe, and his younger sister Rosemary had once been abandoned by their mother and they were left with their father, before she came back weeks later, she never showed affection towards him or Joe for the rest of their childhood.

Jackie, who didn't want to have a private conversation in the public, it would be extra dangerous since Jack was a Senator and a play boy before he settled down and married her.

So she muttered in his ear,"Later."

The two seperated and Jackie took her daughter from Jack.

As soon as she took Bella back Doctor Smith entered the room, with Luna in a cage.

"Ah, Mrs. Kennedy. Your bird is alright now, however she needs certain medicines for a while, I can write them down for you, I already have them in the cage, I noticed you didn't bring her in one.

Jack looked at her with deep confusion and Jackie mouthed,"Later." at him again.

After recieving medical information about Luna and paying for the bill, Jack had to go to an important meeting, despite not having breakfast (Jackie felt extremely bad about this as Jack was bony as it was).

Which left Jackie to feel guilty until 3:00pm.

Refrences: The whole Jack being bony thing comes from historical evidence. Because JFK was constantly sick he could hardly gain any weight, his Addison's medicine also ate away at him.

The whole Rose Kennedy leaving her sons and daughter is actually true too.
