The day in the Senate was tiring one. Jack was ready to fall asleep by the time he got home. He and Leverett Saltonstall had argued over a certain issue all day and Jack felt his voice weakened considerably.

Sometimes Jack thought Saltonstall just argued because he was a Republican and Jack was a Democrat, he told Jackie as soon as he got home, walking in from the door.

"My god Jackie! Saltonstall will argue that he's a Democrat just for the sake of arguing!"

Jackie at the time had been rocking Arabella to sleep but the previously tired and sleepy Arabella turned into a bundle of energy.

From the laying down position she was in on the floor, when she saw Jack she gurgled happily while sitting up and clapping her hands together in joy.

Jack gave a small smile at this. Despite the stressful day at work he always had Jackie and Bella to cheer him up.

Jack picked up Bella and swung her around the room before gently setting her down in Jackie's awaiting arms.

Jackie rolled her eyes at her husband and muttered,"And she was just falling asleep." before she pecked him on the cheek and they sat on the couch together.

"So." Jackie said,"Was it really as bad as you are acting it was?"

"Yes." Jack said.

"Well then." Jackie said with a small smile,"I guess you're too pouty to eat some freshly baked choclate chip cookies then."

Jack's head snapped up at this, and the argument begun over whether Jack was too pouty or not to have Jackie's home baked cookies.
