Brother's best friend

"Hey Shawn is coming over," my brother shrugged as he walked into the living room. He plopped down on the couch beside me and laid his feet across me.

"Gross, and okay." I said pushing his disgusting feet off of my legs. I got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen to grab a Gatorade. The doorbell rang signaling someone was here.

"Can you answer the door?" Andrew asked from the couch.

"It's your friend." I said as I opened my Gatorade.

"So, your closer to the door." I heard him yell. I sighed and walked to the door. I opened it revealing Shawn. He was wearing gym shorts, and a black t-shirt that showed off his biceps.

"It's not polite to stare." Shawn smirked. I shook my head trying to look up at his eyes.

"Andrew is in the living room." I said walking away from the door in embarrassment. I decided to just go to my room since Andrew and Shawn were just going to play Call Of Duty downstairs. I sighed before laying down on my bed. Shawn and I have a weird relationship. We always pick on each other, and joke around when it's just me and him. I've always had a small crush on him, but I usually just ignore it since I know he wouldn't have a crush on me. Plus my brother would kill me if I dated his friend. I know brother's are supposed to be protective of their sister, but he's scared that it would make things awkward between all of us if we broke up.

I was scrolling through instagram when I heard a knock at my door. I looked up from my screen to see shawn leaning against my doorframe.

"Uh hey." I said awkwardly.

"Hey dork." Shawn smiled.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Andrew said you have the white controller  for the Xbox," Shawn said pushing himself off the doorframe.

"Oh," I got up and grabbed the controller that was on my dresser, "here you go." His hand brushed across mine as he took the remote from my hands. My stomach fluttered with butterflies.

"Thanks." He said before walking back downstairs. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I need to get over this crush.
