The warm sun shined in the dark room. Shawn's eyes fluttered open to see a empty space beside him where she used to lay. He rubbed his eyes to help him wake up. He sat up in the bed looking around the room to see if he saw anything that could show she was still there, but there was nothing.

She came to a stop at the red light. She looked in the mirror, and saw the mascara underneath her eyes, her messy hair, and swollen lips. The light turned green signaling for her to go. She sighed and put her foot on the gas. She was on her way home after a night with Shawn. She was used to waking up this early, and leaving his house.

It was a routine. Shawn would call causing her to drop everything and run to him, she would end up in his room with him tearing her clothes off her body, followed by her doing the same to him. Then when the morning came. She would wake up in his arms, she would be lying if she said she didn't run her fingers over his exposed skin lightly, or if she didn't kiss his forehead before leaving every morning.

Shawn paced back and forth in his room. He held his phone tightly in his hand, he ran his fingers through his hair. He debated on calling her telling her what he had been feelings for weeks now. Tell her that he wants more. That he wants her to stay through the night, and he could wake up to see her sleeping peacefully in his arms. He wants to have an actual conversation with her, get to know her. He wants to know her favorite scary movie, favorite color, what type of music her listens to her, he wants to know her.

She moves her feet along the gray concrete up to her house. She unlocked her door and stepped into the dark house. She placed her purse down onto the marble counter in the kitchen and slipped off her shoes. She trudged up the stairs to her bedroom. She plopped down on her bed and closed her eyes. Her mind drifted off to Shawn, like usual. She wanted Shawn to see her more than just, whatever they were, she wanted more. She wanted to be able to actually talk to Shawn, maybe have him tell her the backstory to some of his songs, or know his favorite book series.

They both wanted to be more than just a one night stand that happened repeatedly. The thing is, they don't know how to say what they want. Their both too afraid if they say something, one of them will freak out and leave. If only they knew.
