Sick so I'm staying home from school today, that means I'll have a lot of time soooo any request??

Shawn's pov:
I poured the caramel colored liquid onto the ice cubes in the glass. As I drank the burning whisky stung my throat. There was only enough to make another glass in the bottle. Since she's been gone I've drank more than I thought was possible.

A knock on the door broke me out of my thoughts about her. I opened the door to see my friend, Ian. He looked at me with sympathy and sadness in his eyes. I was used to seeing it by now. It didn't have an effect on me.

"Shawn," he shook his head and looked me up and down, "when was the last time you took a shower?" He asked jokingly. Even though he meant it as a joke, I know that he was really asking.

"Monday night." I said walking back over to my drink.

"That was four days ago Shawn." Ian said scrunching his nose in disgust. I just shrugged and took a sip of my drink. I felt Ian watch me with disappointment.

"If you're going to judge me, then I think I'd be better here by myself." I said shooting him a death glare.

He sighed and sat down in the wooden stool in front of the bar, "I'm not judging. I just hate seeing you like this." He said.

"I'm heartbroken Ian, and this is the only way to fix it." I said running my fingers through my dark brown curls.

"But you shouldn't be drinking this much Shawn. I'd hate to see what your liver looks like." He shook his head staring at the bottle of whisky.

"Look Ian," I leaned forward on my elbows, "people get drunk to drown out the pain, I do it to make my self feel better. It distracts me," i looked down at the marble tabletops, "it distracts me from her."
