it's... complicated

this is based off of what's happening in my life right now :/

"he told you he regrets breaking up with you many of times," my best friend summer said as she scrolled through her Twitter.

"I know summer." i said feeling that warm fuzzy feeling, but immediately feeling guilty.

"But I have a boyfriend and he has a girlfriend. It isn't right." I said shaking my head.

"Why don't you just break up with Gabriel?" She asked glancing up at me with her hazel eyes.

"We just got back together, I can't break up with him again." I said shaking my head, "and plus Shawn is in a relationship too."

"I bet if you and Gabriel broke up, Shawn and Alyssa would break up." Summer said before stuffing an Oreo in her mouth.

"I don't know." I said running my hands over my face as I sighed.

Gabrielle, summer, and a few of our other friends were hanging out. My stomach erupted with butterflies when I saw Shawn making his way over to our group.

"Hey we should all get a photo," summer suggested.

"Here I'll take it." Shawn offered holding his hand out for me to give him my phone.

"Uh," I looked up into his brown eyes, "I don't trust you." I said laughing softly.

"Oh come on." He said smiling. The bell rang signaling it was time to get to class. I was very   relieved to say the least.

"i was counting down the hours to break up with her." shawn said turning around in his desk.

"ouch," I said acting offended, "that hurt."

"No no no," shawn said shaking his head with a blush on his cheeks, "I wasn't talking about you."

"Oh I was about to say," I laughed softly.

"No, I actually regret breaking up with you." My heart was beating out of my chest, I was actually worried he could hear my heart beat.

"Yeah sure." I said sarcastically.

"I'm serious, you can ask summer. I told her."

"So are you and Gabriel still together?" Shawn asked.

"Uh," i paused and looked down, "Yeah."

He nodded and turned back around.

I felt horrible. I have an amazing boyfriend, but my feelings are growing stronger for my ex boyfriend. Even though I'm not cheating on him physically, I still feel like I'm cheating on him emotionally. It's like my feelings are how I'm cheating on him.
