The light coming through the window shined down onto the bed. I slowly opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. A pair of strong arms were wrapped around my waist. I smiled and trailed my eyes up his arms to look at his beautiful face. He was sleeping so peacefully. His pink plump lips were slightly parted as soft snored escaped his mouth, his usual perfect styled hair covered parts of his forehead.

I placed a sweet kiss on his cheek before reaching for my phone on the night stand. I was taken aback by all of the notifications that I had. It was unusual for me to have so many, especially from Twitter. I furrowed my brows together as I opened the app.

I sat up in the bed and looked at my phone in shock. A photo of Shawn and I on our date last night was uploaded and now everyone knew about us. Shawn's fans didn't know that we were together because he didn't want me to get hate. I agreed to keep it a secret until we were ready to tell the fans.

"Baby," Shawn's raspy voice said, "what's wrong?" I looked down to see his brown eyes looking up at me confused.

I turned my phone so he could see. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and sat up beside me. His large hands took the phone out of my hand. I watched his facial expression as he read the article. He pushed his brows together and shook his head.

I took the phone from his hands and decided to see the fans reaction. I scrolled through the comments.

"Babe," Shawn placed his hand on my thigh as I read the comments, "I'm sorry. You know I didn't want it to come out this way."

"Shawn," I looked up from my phone, "it's not that bad. I'm actually kind of glad that it came out. Now we don't have to hide." I shrugged with a small smile.

"But the hate," Shawn said looking at me with concern.

"Shawn it's fine. I'm not scared of 10 year olds threatening me because I stole their "mans."" I said causing Shawn to erupt in laughter. I smiled as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.

"We should probably both go ahead and tweet about it." I said lifting my head to look up at him.

"Yeah," he said sighing and getting his phone. I watched as he typed the tweet.

@shawnmendes- sorry I didn't tell you guys about @y/t/n and I, we just didn't want to go public yet, but I guess now is as good of time as ever. So yes me and her are dating, please respect our relationship and our privacy. Xx

He placed a kiss on my temple and said, "now let's go get some breakfast."
