Baby shower

I admired the baby bump in the mirror. I was 6 months along so there was definitely a bump. The thought of a beautiful baby girl coming made me smile. I couldn't wait to be a mother, and Shawn couldn't  hold his excitement about being a father.

"You ready babe?" Shawn asked walking in the room wearing a white button down shirt, black jeans, and black boots. He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me from behind. His placed his large hands on top of mine. He pressed his lips to my head and smiled softly.

"I love you so much." He said softly.

"I love you too."

"Now please tell me the gender." Shawn begged. I smiled and shook my head. I wanted to surprise Shawn along with all of our family members at the baby shower today. My friend and I put pink balloons into a box and when Shawn and I open it they will float up revealing the gender.

He groaned, "this is torture."

I laughed and turned around to face him, "you'll know soon."

"Y/n, darling it's so nice to see you," Karen, shawns Mom, said bringing me into a welcoming hug.

I smiled, "it's nice to see you too."

"Where's Aaliyah?" I heard Shawn ask. Karen and I pulled away from the hug to look at Shawn.

"I think she's-," right when Karen was about to tell Shawn Aaliyah ran up to Shawn tackling him into a hug. Shawn laughed and hugged his little sister back. I smiled seeing them being nice to each other. Although they might be sweet to each other, they definitely will be arguing about something later.

"Y/n!" I heard a very familiar voice yell. I turned my head to see my mom and dad walking over to me with a wrapped gift.

My dad hugged me before my mom got the chance to.

"Sorry we couldn't get here earlier, your father here took a wrong turn." My Mom said as she went to hug me. I laughed and hugged her back.

After opening gifts, eating delicious food, and telling embarrassing stories it was finally time to reveal what the gender of the baby is. Everyone went to the backyard where we would release the balloons. I saw people take their phones out to record and take photos as Shawn and I stared to open the box.

"1," people started counting, 2, 3." On the three shawn and i opened the box letting the pink and white balloons float up to the sky. I looked down from the balloons to see shawn smiling rapidly. He cupped my face with his warm hands before kissing me passionately.

"We're having a baby girl." Shawn whispered as he rested his forehead against mine. I smiled and wrapped my fingers around his wrist.

Everybody cheered and congratulated us. Shawn's hands fell from my face and intertwined with mine. 3 more months until our little family begins.
