Forever and Always
RyderHe followed Maya through the woods, it's been hours of traveling, and I still haven't figured out how to get control back.
"Give me my body back!" I yelled to him.
I knew Maya couldn't hear me yelling, but apart of me wishes she could.
"Listen dipshit, your only getting your body back if I want you to have it!" He spoke under his breath so Maya didn't hear him.
"I think it's time to find somewhere to setup camp for the night" Maya said placing her hands on her hips.
"So, we finally giving up on Bowman? Good we don't need him anyways" He said to Maya.
Maya turned to face him, almost with a disgusted face.
"What's wrong with you? I thought you cared about Dante?" Maya said
I couldn't stand her looking at me like this, and I guess he figured that out to, because his tone changed when he answered her.
"I'm sorry, I'm just really worried about the others" He said wrapping his arms around her waist.
She hugged him back and placed her head on his chest.
"I know, it's ok, I am too" she said. They pulled away from the hug, and he advanced for a kiss, she accepted it and they kissed deeply.
I could tell he wanted it to last longer, but she pulled away.
"Common, we should find somewhere to setup camp"
Maya turned and walked into the woods.
He followed her to a clearing in a field, they setup the same can system that they were doing awhile back with all the others, and while he setup the fire, she setup the sleeping bags, and took two cans of corn out of her backpack.
They sat around the fire, they laughed, they cried, but all and all this person who had control over my body, was playing it very nice with Maya, at times I forgot that I wasn't in control.
They sat near the fire, he had a arm around her, her head was on his shoulder, and although I felt rage, I also began to feel her head cuddle into my body, it was comforting.
"My Dad, he use to bring us on these crazy camping trips when I was a kid, he would sneak me away and teach me how to shoot a gun, but I remember how he use to always be so worked up over the smallest things on those trips. He would throw a tantrum if we forgot something, he always wanted the trip to be perfect, he was such a good father" Maya clearly was in another place and time.
I felt my body actually shed a tear.
"Maya?" He spoke.
"Yeah?" She answered looking up into the stars, the crackling of the fire was the only other noise they heard.
"Our time together, in this world. It's so short, everything we do now is either life or death" He started.
I began to wonder where he was going with this, what the hell was he talking about, was this even the same guy who kept starring at her ass yesterday?
"Sadly." Maya interrupted him quietly.
"I feel like I've known you my entire life, even though we only met a few weeks ago. I wanted to ask you something Maya?" He asked.
I understood where he was going now.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE, YOU SHUT UP RIGHT NOW OR I'LL" I yelled at him, but he cut me off by thinking to himself, or rather to me.
