The Train Wreck

"Ok, so I know today is your first day so we're take it nice and slow!" Damon spoke.
He held a bow in his hands, Damon, Cassi, Shadow and I stood outside the wall. On the side of the road, Damon was taking us hunting for our first hunting trip.
I rolled my eyes.
"I've hunted before dummy, that's why I'm on this team!" I spoke lifting my crossbow up in my hands and walking past him.
He stopped me by grabbing my shoulder.
"Really? Well then Mr. Experienced why don't we put some money on this?" He asked.
I shurgged.
"Sure, what do you have in mind?" I asked.
"If I catch more game then the two of you, then I get half your points from your winnings? If you win same goes!" Damon offered smiling.
"Sure" I replied.
Damon looked over to Cassi.
She shrugged her shoulders.
Shadow barked in agreement.
"Cool!" Damon spoke nodding his head.
He adjusted his bow and arrows and took off into the woods.
"Meet you back here at nightfall!" He yelled running off into the forest.
I lifted my crossbow and began walking off in the opposite direction of Damon.
It felt freeing, to be out here again, I knew I couldn't live out here, not only because would I die, but I'd forget who I was. I understood that now, but I still needed these hunting trips.
After about a minute I heard something behind me, I turned and got ready to fire, but before I did I noticed I was aiming at a dog.
"Shadow?" I asked lowering my crossbow.
"What are you doing?" Cassi asked from next to me.
I nearly shit myself.
I guess she was following me the entire time, I must've not noticed, some hunter.
"Shouldn't we be following Damon?" She asked.
I shook my head.
"Shouldn't you be off alone, a group like this will scare the animals away!" I commented harshly.
She smiled.
"Maybe, but we don't know the environment, plus I wasn't sure if we we're acting as a group on this or what." Cassi replied.
I turned and continued to walk away.
"Leave me alone, go somewhere else!" I spoke as I marched away from her, she ran over to me and walked in front of me.
"Why are you always so harsh?" Cassi asked me, I tried to walk around her but she placed her hand on my chest to stop me from moving.
"Dante? Is it the bet?" She asked.
I felt myself boiling up, I was ready to explode.
"Cause I mean, so what if we lose right? Besides you got me and Shadow, I don't think we can lose!" She smlied then focused back on me.
"Dante?" She asked.
I felt tears begin to form.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" I Yelled.
