Kiera
I noticed for the first time that Sadie, my dog, wasn't following us. I didn't see her after we left our apartment building, I knew we couldn't go back for her. But I hoped she was okay.It was likily she was dead, I knew not to get my hopes up, but it sucks.
It sucks that we have to go through this.
Bobby and I drove up Uncle Bill's driveway.
Uncle Bill owns a large property outside of the city, I remember coming here before my parents died, Uncle Bill loved yo drive snowmobiles and four-wheelers.
The lights were still on inside.
Bobby and I parked in the driveway.
"He's expecting us right?" I asked. Grabbing my door to open it, but Bobby stopped me.
"Don't" he said.
I let go of the door handle.
"What? He is expecting us right?" I asked again looking to him.
Bobby just looked over to the house.
"Yeah, he was, but something's not right!" Bobby stopped and reached into the backseat for his backpack.
He pulled out a hammer.
"What do you mean, WAS?" I asked as Bobby opened his car door and walked up the gravel path to the front door.
I followed Bobby, walking behind him.
He held the hammer in his hand, and knocked on the front door.
"Uncle Bill?" Bobby yelled.
Nobody answered.
We heard the TV making noises inside, as if it was the black and white blurry screen.
Bobby walked inside, I followed close behind.
"Anyone here?" Bobby shouted.
No answer.
When we turned into the living room we saw someone sitting in a chair, but he wasn't moving, and he had a large bloody hole in the top of his head.
Bobby walked around to see the person face to face, his back to the black and white TV. Bobby wore a face of disgust.
"This is Bill" Bobby said looking up to me.
Bobby reached down and grabbed a shotgun from Bills lap.
"He...he shot...he killed himself?" I asked.
Bobby nodded.
"Looks that why, sucide, but why?" Bobby questioned.
"It's a shame really, he was a good man" a man spoke walking into the front door.
Bobby raised Bills shotgun and I ran to take cover behind Bobby.
The man wore a snow camo baseball cap, a brown leather jacket and heavily plated military pants, along his belt was a hoslter and in it was a pistol.
"Please place the gun down, my name is Commander Phillip Edwards Frost, that man, Bill? He called me to come get him, and his niece and nephew" Frost spoke with his hands in the air.
"Your from the military?" Bobby asked.
Frost nodded his head.
"I'm currently leading a team of soilders to find civilians and keep them safe" Frost spoke still holding his hands in the air.
Bobby looked from Frost,to me and then to Bills corpse.
"Uncle Bill. He called you?" Bobby asked.
