A New Home
Jayce SladeI remember the gas.
The gas knocked us out cold while we were fighting the Bandits, wait. No the bandits were dead.
Probably by whoever threw the gas.
I dreamed.
I haven't dreamed for a long time, long before the zombies walked the earth.
I dreamed of home, the ranch.
I dreamed of a long field on a sunny day, filled with bright flowers. I dreamed of the smells of sweets and sugars in the air. I dreamed of the years I played in these fields with my siblings, we were playing tag. Chasing each other and running away.Only I ran away from the field, and into a Forrest, it was as if I saw myself as a little boy, and I was forced to follow him in a thrid person view, and yet I felt what he was feeling.
Happiness and Innocence.
The Forrest that I was running into was dark and gloomy and within a second it became night.
I reached a clearing in the forest and saw men and women sitting in the clearing around a campfire.
I hid behind a tree.
I watched as one man beat another to death.
I dreamed of Riellys death.
I woke up to the moans of the undead, and a slap to the face.
My arms were above me, and I felt like I was dangling on a chain.
I was.
Below me was a pit full of the undead.
The chain that was cuffed to my hands was attached to a wooden pillar. It was still night, how did I get here? Where was I?A Man stood above the pit, in front of me.
He was tall, was very well built, and carried a rifle on his back, with two pistols in hoslters on his sides and at least four knifes scattered acorss his outfit.
He also wore a winter hat with apair of blue goggles on them.
It was still night time, assuming it's the same day that is.
"Wow, your actually awake!" He said smiling. "We've been trying to wake you up for hours."
I just realized that I was actually dangling over a pit of zombies.
"What the!" I screamed trying to find a foothold.
The man just smlied again.
"Listen to me, I'm going to ask you a few questions, and your gonna answer them truthfully. If you don't answer them truthfully and to our liking we kill you, then we try again with the next member of your group!"
The man asked.I nodded my head.
"Ok good, first question what's your name?"
I looked around my surroundings and realized behind the the man was a giant tank, big enough to live inside, it was really more like a war ship, as a giant tank. They were called something, Mobile, Unit or something I don't recall. But I do know that the Military used for to transport vehicles and troops across land.
This Tank actually had a gate and walls out at the front. They were living inside of it.
We were just outside the front gate.
On top of the front gate was a women, aiming a rifle towards me.
The man realized I wasn't answering and turned to look at the women.
He turned back and clearly saw the concern in my face.
