Siege!
Kiera
"So, how are the gates coming along?" I asked Jerry.
Jerry and I stood outside of Jerry's tent in the parking lot of the church, we were going over the list, and assessing the damages so we can pick and choose which parts to repair first.
"Mostly, the south and north gate are stable, but they are not nearly as strong as they were before, we lost a lot of the reinforcement beams during the hordes attack, some snapped in half others are just simply unusable." Jerry spoke.
I rubbed my chin.
"Well, that's a problem" I spoke. "Any hopes of returning it to it's former glory?" I asked.
"Well, depends on what the groups bring back, but maybe" Jerry shrugged.
That's when my radio strapped to my belt went off.
"Hey, Kiera, we have a problem, north side!" I heard Billy shout over the radio.
I grabbed the radio from my belt held the button down and answered.
"What kind of problem?"
"It's another heard, only this time...that's weird" Billy asked through the radio in mid sentence.
"What's weird?" I asked demanding for a answer, I turned to look up to the watchtower on the tree where I saw Billy standing, suddenly a heard a loud gunshot, and watched in horror as Billy fell from the tower.
"Shit!" I heard Jerry shout.
"Jerry, we're under attack! get a whistle or alarm going, and get people away from the walls!" I yelled running towards the armory.
"Yes ma'am!" I heard Jerry shout as I dispersed inside the armory. I gathered up a several guns, and whatever else I could find and made my way back outside of the armory to help.
I stepped outside the armory, and what I saw was pure horror. A huge herd of zombies were already inside and we're killing several people who were trying to stand against the herd, not to mention that they're sounds of gunfire coming from every angle of the Chruch, as if someone's shooting at us.
I ran over to a young lady who stood with several others.
"Kate! Get everyone back inside the Chruch!" I yelled.
Kate nodded her head and motioned the others near her to go inside the two men ran inside and Kate stood to speak with me.
"What about you?" She yelled over the moans of the undead, and gunshots.
I loaded a handgun that I grabbed from the armory.
"Don't worry about me, just get inside!" I ordered.
She nodded her head and ran inside.
I needed to keep them safe.
I placed the handgun back inside it's hostler and decided I'd start with my largest weapon.
A standard scar-h machine gun, I wasn't a big gun guy, but I remember Jerry not shutting up about this all week.
The oncoming horde began to run out of food and turned their attention towards me.
I unloaded mag after mag on to the zombies, and when I ran out of ammo for my scar, I moved onto my two light weight revolver pistols and because they're only six shots per pistol I ran out of ammo fast.
They're are still more then a hundred of these moaning corpses, I knew I was screwed if I didn't come up with something soon, luckily Shane knew a thing or two about building bombs, and before he left I got him to fashion a few make shift gernades.
