Maya and I walked down the path in the woods, I led her through the dark gloomy forest of the night.
The distant noises of owls and a waterfall hummed in my ears.

"Did I ever tell you about that time where Jayce tried to teach me how to ride a horse?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Well, I sucked at it, he promised that Skipper would be gentle but I swear to God that horse had it out for me"

She smlied, I took the chance to kiss her again, I was so glad that I'm back.
"How do we know that we're even going in the right direction?" Maya asked.

I followed the shoe tracks that fit Dante's size, they were deep in the mud, which means that he was rushing and wasn't worrying about covering his tracks. He must've been following Major Skeleton.

I pointed to the shoe tracks, and then placed a finger over my mouth as if to tell Maya to "Shhhh"

I continued to follow Dante's trail until we reached a clearing.

I nearly fell face first.

It was a huge canyon, at least thirty feet until you reach the river below.

"Shit!" I yelled.

I looked around for a way to get across, clearly Dante went this way as I didn't see any tracks anywhere else, how the hell did he get across.

"There!" Maya said pointing to a tipped over tree that goes to the other side of the caynon.

"You want to walk across that thing?" I asked.

"Well, do you have a better idea?" Maya asked.

I rolled my eyes, she already knew that I didn't have a better idea.

"Fine, but we have to be slow, and careful!" I warned her, I did not want to find out how deep that river was.

"UHHHHH!" I heard the moans from behind us, deep in the forest.

"FUCK!" I whispered. "I guess slow and careful is out, ok Maya, you first, get to the other side and cover me!" I said rushing her over to the log.

I pulled out my sledgehammer and held it on my shoulder to get ready for a upcoming zombie.

"I love you" I spoke to her before she walked across.

"Don't say that, I'll see you over on the other side!" She turned and slowly walked across the river.

A zombie stumbled out of the forest towards me, it was a young man in a work uniform. He moaned loudly as he advanced on me to bite me in the face.

I swung my sledgehammer down on him turning his head into a pancake.

"Holy shit!" I smlied, so much blood, I didn't know what took over me but I began to get a little blood thirsty.

"Ok, meatbags come on, try your best!" I placed my sledgehammer back on my shoulder and waited for the next zombie.

This time two stumbled out, I knew I could get a double if a tried hard enough.

I swung the sledgehammer as fast and as hard as I could, this ripped the first zombies head right off and I knocked the other one over as a flatted pancake, sadly I lost my grip and the sledgehammer went flying into the water below.

I pulled out my hunting knife from my hostler in my chest, I swung it in my hand in almost a taunting manner.

Three more zombies stumbled out and I ran over to advance on them, I pushed two of then back and stabbed the middle one through the head.
