Survivor!
Dante"FUCK!" Ace yelled looking through a set of binoculars that we stole from a zombie a few miles back.
We decided to climb a tall tree and we overlooked what was left of the church.
We didn't make it in time, either Ryder attacked and killed them all, or something else got them, however my money is on Ryder, if he found out that Ace and I escaped and I'm guessing he did due to the dead guy and the fact that we were missing, then he probably didn't want to take any chances of Ace and I warning Kiera, and decided to move in on his attack plan.
"Do you see him?" I asked Ace.
"Yeah, I see him, but they found my stash, shit!" Ace said handing me the binoculars, I looked through and began focusing on the church.
Ace spoke to me then jumped down the tree, I was so focused on the church that I didn't hear him.
"What?" I asked.
Ace looked back up to me from the ground.
"I said, fuck this, I'm leaving!" Ace walked off into the woods.
I rolled my eyes and looked back into the binoculars.
The church's north gate seemed pushed open and ripped apart, they're mountains of corpses all around the gate as well. I also spotted Billy's dead body inside the church, and Kate's outside the front of the church.
It seems as if they broke inside the church and was executing everyone inside.
That's when I saw Ryder walk out of the church. by his side was Jeff, his personal servant Jorge and his long lost lover Maya. and behind them with his head to the ground in sadness was Jerry.
I wonder why they were keeping him alive? maybe to help with the baby? Or just to have someone with medical training, although if they managed to fix Ryder up, and keep Jeff's eye from getting infected then clearly they must have someone with medical experience. Unless that was Champ.
I lowered the binoculars and took a deep breath.
No sign of Cassi, or Jayce.
so either they are one of the corpses, they escaped, or Ryder was keeping them inside.
I jumped down from the tree and looked around for Ace.
he was gone.
"Ace?" I whispered.
I found him standing out in the open, starring up at a lamp pole.
I walked over to him and spoke.
"Ace, next time I call you, answer me would ya?" I stood next to him and was curious on what he was looking at, I turned and looked up at the lamp post and stared in horror as I saw Kiera's body, tied to the pole covered in blood, with a large piece of plastic hanging from her next with black paint on it, the paint spelled the words.
"Warning, Surrender, or die"
"That's bad right?" Ace asked.
I shook my head.
"No, actually no, it's not"
Ace looked at me confused.
"What do you mean, Kiera's dead?" Ace pointed out.
"Yeah, that sucks, but I meant the sign, I'll tell you later...We should get her down from this" I said pulling out a small pocket knife that we also grabbed from the same zombie earlier. I climbed the pole and cut the rope that tied her to the pole.
