Our Own Tomb Pt.2
CassiWe reached the end of the secret underground tunnel, I led the group with Shadow and Charity as we approached the small wooden ladder that led us out of the underground dirt tunnel.
"Hey Diana, how did you know about this tunnel? I didn't know about this!" Charity said standing behind me as I started climbing up the ladder.
I opened the trapdoor, and stepped into a convenient store at a gas station, I put Shadow down as he started sniffing the ground around the station.
"Actually, back when Tomas and Edwin first built the walls, they built the underground tunnel in case of a emergency, Tomas and Edwin showed me the day before Tomas died, now they're both dead" Diana said sadly climbing into the gas station behind Charity and Kiera
"We should hold up here" I spoke checking some of the nearly empty shelves.
It appears that there was a rush of people being in here, most of the shelves we're empty, and those that weren't had some useless item, and the items are all scrambled and misplaced.
Diana and Kiera we're also going through the shelves as Charity checked outside.
The three of us walked into a office where there was a large couch.
"Kiera, you can sleep there" Diana said gesturing to the couch.
I walked outside the gas station to find Charity, I searched around the front entrance, but I couldn't find her.
"Charity?" I asked, not quite a whisper, but almost.
"Yeah?" Her voice answered from behind me.
I jumped and turned to see Charity sitting on the roof of the gas station.
"What?" She asked.
"One minute" I said, walking over to a ladder and I climbed up next to her.
I sat down, and hanged my legs over the edge of the gas station
"Is that the church?" I asked pointing to a faint shape in the distance.
She nodded.
"Ya, it is" She replied, she took a deep worry filled breath.
The distant gun shots and the bonfires were visible from where we were sitting.
"Do you think Jayce is dead" I asked plainly looking over to her.
She tucked her bangs behind her ear, and turned her head towards face me.
"Honestly, I'm still trying to get over the fact that Edwin's dead and that all of this happening, I mean. Who would do that to him?" She asked me.
I understood what she was going through, but I simply was to worried about Jayce and Ryder to care about her problems, so I gave her a fake answer as I looked back out to the Church.
"Well, everyone thinks that Ryder did it, but he went missing, and it's unlike Ryder to kill Edwin, he's sick, not thinking straight, it would've been someone who was mad about Kiera, and someone who wanted to over throw Edwin as leader" I said.
She took a moment to think the answer over, then she almost yelled.
"Oh my God! Your right!" She started, but I heard nearby twigs snapping, she continued as if she heard nothing.
"Think about it! Who was the one person who led the herds! Who was the one person who would've had access to guns and who had access to Ryder's cell so he could frame it on him!" Charity stood up and started freaking out.
I stood up also freaking out, I watched as a herd of over a thousand zombies came out of the woods.
"Charity" I whispered, looking to the herd.
"What?" She asked.
I pointed to the herd.
She covered her mouth with her hand to keep her from screaming.
Meanwhile...
Max
I had Ryder tied to a tree, outside of the Church, all hell has broke lose inside the Church, and I wondered why.
Ryder was out cold, I was unsure on what to do with him, I needed to kill him, but I wasn't sure how.
That's when Ryder woke up.
"What...what is this!" He yelled.
I bent down to get in his face.
"Fun right? Your tied up, your mine now!" I smirked.
He rolled his eyes.
"Don't get your hopes up blondy, I'm tougher then I look!" He remarked ruffly.
I pulled out my bullet firing pistol from the Church and pointed it to his skull.
"Not even a Dark One can survive this?" I taunted. "Your move?" I laughed.
Suddenly Ryder passed back out, and I heard a voice ringing in the back of my head, at first I thought it was the Creator trying to bug me, but then I realized it was someone much worse.
"Wow! I've never been in the mind of a portal jumper before! So intelligent! I bet the body is good too!" The voice spoke.
Suddenly I couldn't move, my body went numb, and I felt like I was watching my life through a TV screen.
"Wow! So much energy! I feel so powerful!" The voice yelled raising my hands to the air.
My body turned on my sunglasses, and contacted the Creator.
The Creator answered and gave my body a voice of pity.
"Oh, Max...are you scared? Do you want me to call off Cyblow? Well too bad!" The Creator laughed.
But my body smiled.
"Actually fucker, I plan to throw tick tacs at Cyblow and when he gives up, he'll be my personal bitch, and then I'm coming for you too! I'll rip you to pieces!" The man spoke. Then he hanged up the sunglasses.
"That felt great!" My body yelled.
Ryder woke up, he looked up to me.
"Max! He's gone! Don't kill me!"
My body smiled.
"Actually, I'm done with you, I found a new body to play with!" My body smiled.
Ryder instantly knew what was going on.
I repointed my gun to Ryder's skull.
"I can't wait to have Maya all to myself! It'll be hard at first, but she'll still love me!" My body removed the safety as Ryder flinched back expecting the bullet.
But I fought for control! Unlike Ryder I knew what he was, and I wasn't sick, I pushed him out of my right arm.
I lifted the pistol to my skull.
"Give me a reason!" I yelled out loud.
I felt him trying to fight back for control, but every time he pushed, I would fight back, getting more and more control over my body.
I couldn't let him kill Ryder, the rift would reach his world, and he'd be free.
"Don't you dare! You piece of shit!" The voice echoed in the back corner once again.
I decided I couldn't kill myself, but instead, I had to portal jump, it was risky, but if I killed myself then who would stop the Creator.
"Ryder! Mend the rift!" I yelled.
I summoned a portal and disappeared.
Ryder
The voice was gone, Max disappeared in a flash of lightning.
I thought the undead walking the earth was the weirdest thing that could every happen to me.
I tried to stand up so I could go back to the Church and explain everything, but I was still tied to a tree.
Goddammit.
