A Night With The Augusts'

Mom: Lily are your bags ready?

Lily: Yeah!

Lily: Sorry 'Lasha, you were saying?

I was FaceTiming 'Lasha before Mom and Carlos dropped me of at Chres'.

'Lasha: They could've just asked me, I'd be happy to babysit.

Lily: I'm just worried if he tries to flirt with me.

'Lasha: He won't he's with Lele.

Lily: He was with me the first time round and I was just stupid enough to go out with him.

'Lasha: You're not stupid, just make sure you get the guest bedroom.

Lily: You know, his parents are out of town right?

'Lasha: If anything happens call me.

Mom: Lily we need to go! Now!

Lily: I have to go, talk to you later!

'Lasha: Text me!

I hung up and picked up my overnight bag, Mom wouldn't leave me at Chres' with just both of us alone if she didn't trust him. She'd only let someone she'd trust look after me, but there's going to be a thunderstorm tonight and Chres knows how I feel about thunderstorms. 

                                                             The August Residence

Chres' parents talked to Mom and Carlos for a while saying how I was in safe hands with Chres but I know that they wouldn't be saying that if they knew we dated even though it was only for like a month but still.

Chres: Hey lil' sis.

Lily: Hello Chresanto.

Chres: Woah "Chresanto"? What's up with the governnment names?

Lily: What are you talking about? If understanding American English wasn't hard enough I also have to learn ghetto.

Chres: Girl I ain't ghetto!

He snapped his fingers making me laugh.

Chres: So how you holdin' up with Jacob bein' out of town?

Lily: I miss him a lot and it's only the second day.

Chres: Man that's rough.

 He rubbed on the back of his neck, I think it's so cute when boys do that. What? Shut up Lily!

Chres: So I was gonna order food but I wanted to wait for you to come.

Lily: Well that's sweet of you.

Am I flirting? Did it come off as flirting? Urgh Lily just be normal!

There was an awkward silence.

Chres: Is it ok if I have a few people over? A little later?

Lily: Yeah who are they?

Chres: Just some friends.

Lily: Is Lele coming over?

Chres: No.

I gave him a funny look.

Chres: There are gonna be a couple of girls, but I wanted you here to you know, stop me.

Lily: Well do I know these girls?
