And yes, everything got messed up.
A loud explosion invaded our world seconds after I answered Zephyr's question.
"Yuko!" An unknown man shouted.
A large rock swung on the air and hit the parking lot of the hospital. Napatingin ako doon at tinakpan ang tainga ko upang hindi na makarinig pa ng pagsabog. Naramdaman ko ang mahihigpit na kapit sa akin ng isang kamay at agad akong kinaladkad papalayo doon. Masyadong mausok ang paligid at hindi ko na makita pa ang dinaraanan ko. Halos madapa ako sa bilis ng takbo ng taong humihila sa akin.
Nang makalayo kami sa hospital, nakita ko ang usok na nanggagaling sa lugar na ito.
"Salamat, Zep─" Nanglaki ang aking mga mata at halos matigil ang aking paghinga.
"Nice meeting you, Athena Iris." Matapos nito ay tila kinain na ako ng ng kadiliman.
I woke up feeling anxious. Nilibot ko ang aking mga mata sa madilim na kwartong kinalalagyan ko ngayon.
What did just happen?
I am still in the process of remembering when the door opened.
"Gising ka na pala, Miss." A human said, she's wearing a maid outfit so she may be a maid here.
"Where am I?" I asked, trying to absorb everything.
"Sorry po pero malalagot po kami sa oras na sagutin namin ang mga tanong niyo." She said and immediately left the room.
I don't know if that is just a dream but it seems so true.
Akala ko ay si Zephyr ang humihila sa akin ngunit nang makita ko ang isang babaeng naka takip ang mata ay bigla na lamang nawala ako sa realidad. When I woke up I found myself inside a dark room and I feel so weak.
Hindi ako nakatali ngunit hindi ako makagalaw. I don't know what is happening but I can't use my dexterity. I feel so drained and fragile.
I have to escape, it feels like I am in a danger zone right now and I should think of all the possible ways to get out. It is the first time that I feel so weak... the first time I feel like I am a human being. And I am telling you, this isn't a good thing.
"Get out of here, Melinda." Narinig ko ang isang boses na tila pinapaalis ang maid na kapapasok lang dito kanina.
Unti unting bumukas ang pintuan kasabay ng pagpasok ng munting liwanag sa silid na ito.
"What the hell?" Bulong ko nang makita ang nakakatakot na ngiti sa kaniyang mukha.
"Oh, it is nice meeting you personally." Her voice seems like a thunder hitting every corner of this room. Mas lalong nadagdagan ang kadiliman sa kwarto na ito nang tuluyan niyang ipinakita ang sarili sa akin.
I should feel happy. Nevertheless, the reason why I don't feel good about this meet up is because I can't feel my power within me. I should be glad to see her finally but her existence screams danger.
"So, you are real." I said trying to hide the anxiousness in my voice. She smirked, at mas lalong bumigat ang pakiramdam ko.
"Yes, I am. I am real and I am your reality." Kumunot ang noo ko sa kaniyang sinabi. The way her voice maneuvers inside my system makes me feel agitated.
"I am the reality that everybody wants to escape." I looked at her eyes looking intently at me. Anger, eagerness, revenge and sadness, I do not even know what are the reasons why she feel those.
