Madelaine POV I wake up with warmth surrounding me. I look up to see Alec sleeping peacefully he looks so adorable with his hair sticking in different directions and his pink full lips slightly parted. I smile but carefully slip out of his hold grab my shoes and jacket that were thrown messily on the floor and walk into my room.
I decide to go to the kitchen and make everyone some waffles. Just as I finish the last one I hear everyone come in. I giggle because I like the fact that we basically do everything in sync even eat breakfast. I walk out with everyone's food and they quickly dive in.
"This is so good"Jace says and gives me a fist pump as a sign of appreciation. "Thank god this stuff is edible unlike when some people cook"Alec says slightly tilting his head towards Izzy who rolls her eyes. "You guys are jerks"I laugh and we all just talk about anything momentarily forgetting about all our troubles.
Later on our roles as shadowhunters comes back and we are discussing different possible locations Valentine can be hiding. For some reason I start feeling slightly light headed. "Hey Izzy I'm going to go get some fresh air for a minute."I say. She nods and walks into the direction of the training room in search for Hodge.
When I walk out I sit down on the steps and just breathe for a while feeling a lot better. Just as I was standing up to go back inside I am dragged from behind and I quickly elbow who ever it is in the face. I look back and see like 5 circle member in front of me. One of them manages to kick me in the face. I hit him back and just as a guy was going to stab me with his blade I grab the guy who kicked me and shove him in front of me using him as shield making the other guy kill him instead. I run upstairs to get inside the institute knowing they will get killed if they go inside. But just as I'm on my last step one pulls my legs causing me to fall and hit my head hard on the cement. I feel warm liquid trail down my face as I start to get light headed. "Alec!"I yell but its too late as two men drag me and I pass out ·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~· Alec's POV As Jace and I discuss everything I have this bad feeling in my stomach like something was wrong. About 30 seconds later Isabelle walks in with Hodge and my heart drops when I realize Madelaine isn't with her."It only took 15 minutes but i found Hodge."Izzy exclaims. "Iz where is Madelaine?"I say my nerves growing. She looks at me confused"I thought she was with you she told me she was going to get some fresh air but that she was only going to take a minute." I quickly dash out the institute but my heart stops when I see blood on the steps and a dead circle member all the way at the end.
"Madelaine has been kidnapped we have to find her."I say as I run back to where everyone was."Jace rewind the surveillance cameras and see what exactly happened. Izzy see if you can use your parabatai bond to track her."I say.
I think I feel my heart break as the last thing Madelaine says before blacking out is my name."Oh god!Oh god!We have to find her what if Valentine hurts her."I tell Jace who has fear evident in his eyes. "We will we have to she's all I got left."He says his voice cracking. ---A couple hours later--- "HOW THE HELL DOES NO ONE HAVE ANYTHING!!"I yell. "Alec!Enough!She is my parabatai ok my other half I want to find her to but you need to calm down.Go now to your damn room or the training room to calm down!"Izzy yells at me. "I don't have to listen to you Isabelle!"I yell back at her."Alec it's for the best please."Jace says and I groan in fusturation and walk to Madelaine's room.
I feel my eyes water as I see the picture frame of us two on her drawer. I couldn't keep the one promise I made her. That I wouldn't let anything happen to her. A tear slips and I quickly wipe it away as I hear the door open and close. "Alec come on bro let's talk."Jace says We sit down on her couch and I run my hand through my hair out of stress. "Jace I promises her I wouldn't let anything happen to her I-I......" I trail off not wanting to let Jace know I'm in love with his little sister even though he probably knew through our bond."Your in love with her Alec don't be afraid to say it."He says."You know i want to find her to she is the only blood family I got left she is one of the most important people in my life."He says eyes watering."you know Alec when we find her because we will and she will be ok can you just tell her how you feel I know you will treat her well man."He says."I love her Jace and I would die for her. It just fusturstes me that i can't do anything to help her when she might be going through pain."I say.
"I know me too Alec me to."Is all he says while we let our thoughts consume us
