Alec's POV I walk out of my room and to the monitors in hopes that I find Madelaine. As I'm walking I can't help but realize how stupid I was to yell at her
She didn't do anything wrong. I sigh shaking my head and running my hands through my hair. As I entered the heart of the institute I don't see Madelaine
Instead I see Izzy looking at something intensely before running her hands through her hair in fusturation

Why is she so frustrated? I cautiously walk towards her and she looks at me with different emotions. Anger, worriness,determination......... What's wrong with her?
"Izzy what's bothering you?" I ask feeling like this is going to be really bad news. "Madelaine! She was kidnapped by Valentine!" Izzy says and my eyes widen
"What?!When?!How?!" I ask in a rush and Izzy looks back at the monitor. "About 5 minutes ago. As for the how part he kidnapped me and used me as bait saying her would return me safely if she went with him. She ended up attacking him and then we both ran to the institute. But when I arrived" Izzy takes a small pause before continuing. "She wasn't next to me so I ran out again only to see Valentine going through a portal with Madelaine passed out over his shoulder" she finishes still looking at the monitor.
"Did he hurt you?" I ask softly twisting her body to face me so I can inspect her for any injuries.
"No but he might hurt Madelaine" She says and I sigh. "I am going to go get Jace." I say and she nods turning back yet again to the monitor
I basically sprint to Jace's room and find him with Clary. Good we might be able to use her help.
"What is it Alec?" Jace says and I am quick to respond. "Madelaine has been kidnapped we need both of your help" I say and run back to Izzy with Jace and Clary hot on my heels.
We came just in time to see Izzy stumble slightly her knees buckling and I quickly catch her before she hits the ground
Izzy lets out a small groan clutching her stomach. "What is it Izzy?" I ask gently and she looks at me with so much pain
"I think.......Madelaine is being.......tortured.......I can feel her pain" she wheezes out and my blood runs cold
"That bastard is going to pay" I hear Jace mumble behind me and I nod in agreement. ~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~·~··~ Madelaine's POV I'm quickly awoken by someone throwing freezing cold water on me. I try to jerk away but my hands are kept in place by chains and my feet aren't even touching the floor making my arms sore.
"Tsk tsk tsk you disobeyed me Madelaine." Valentine says and I smile sweetly.
"Good." I say but he ignores me. "Of course I can let it slide if you tell me something that is very valuable information......" he trails off gliding his hand over many tools.
