Jace's POV Its been a couple hours since we found Alec and Hodge helped him. I'm sitting next to his bed watching him sleep peacefully.
Why didn't the rune work? I kept asking myself. Usually an iratze rune would have healed you quickly but it didn't for Alec.
I see Hodge walk in and decide to ask him. " Hodge can you come here for a moment?" I ask him and he walks over
"Is something wrong?" he ask and I shake my head. " ummmmm..... Two things why hasn't Alec woken up yet and why didn't the iratze rune work on him?" I say all in one breath.
He looks around making sure no one hears. "Truth is it might take Alec more than just a few hours to wake up. The iratze rune didn't work because it looks like whatever he was stabbed with had some sort of demon poison." he says liking at Alec.
"Is that even possible? I mean the wound looked like a seraph blade did it" I say and Hodge nods.
"Yes it appears to be a seraph blade but they must have coated it with something. I took a sample of Alecs blood to see exactly what it is." he says and I simply nod.
"Hey by any chance have you seen Isabelle. I can use her help to find out what it is." Hodge says and I shake my head negatively.
" I haven't seen her but I could go look for her if you want." I say and he shakes his head.
I take that as my cue to begin so I start off going to her room. When I check inside it was empty so I decided to go yo Madelaine's room but it was empty to.
Then i went to Alec's room and still nothing. After around 15 minutes i had searched almost the entire institute and still didn't find her or Madelaine for that matter.
Being fed up I look through the camera footage from a couple hours ago. That's when I see them run out.
Shit! They are probably going after Valentine! I quickly make it to the infirmary.
"Hodge Izzy and Made-" I cut myself off as I see Alec awake and Hodge chatting with him. " Alec!" I say and walk up to him.
"What were you saying before?" he ask and I am quickly brought into reality.
"Izzy and Madelaine have gone after Valentine and his men by themselves because of what happened to you." I say and Alec jumps up.
"I'll be ready in 5" he says and begins walking when I stop him. "Alec you just woke up." I tell him placing a hand on his shoulder.
"That's my sister and your sister! I'm going!" he says and walks away. Deciding not to argue with him more i go to the weapons room and take out both Alec's and mine.
Once Alec was done we decided to parabatai track them since we couldn't using out runes by ourselves.
I hope they are ok ~·~·~·~·~·~··~·~ Madelaine's POV Once Izzy and I took care of the circle members in the front we go in. Deciding it was best to hide out for a while we rest in a dark corner observing how we are going to attack.
"Lets go through the left there are less members that way." Izzy says and I nod leaving quietly and making my way to surprise attack the members.
Before I get the chance I hear Izzy yell. "MADELAINE!" I quickly turn around to see members dragging her away. I run toward her but a member pulls me back.
I try my best to shrug off the hand and make my way to Izzy.

"IZZY! DONT TOUCH HER!!!" I yell desperately watching as they drag her away.
They throw me into a room and I land right on my ankle. I wince when I try to get up but instead feel a sharp pain going through my leg.
All of a sudden the door opens and I hear a huge dramatic sigh.
"So we reunite!" a voice says and I turn around slowly to not hurt my ankle and glare at the one and only Valentine.
"I have to say your pretty dumb coming here by yourself and dragging your parabatai with you." he says and I glare at him
" Do whatever you want to me but don't touch her." I tell him. He simply laughs at me. "Why? I mean of i hurt her I hurt you." he says
"Please. You want me leave her out of this." I beg but he shakes his head from left to right. Then leaves.
If he hurts Izzy he is a dead man
