Madelaine's POV
He turned towards me with a smirk the seraph lighting up the dark hallway

I stood frozen as he smirks twirling the blade around. "Is that really how your going to treat your father Madelaine?" Valentine laughs walking closer

I stood rooted to the ground. My feet couldn't move and my eyes widened as my breathing got heavier

jolted up with sweat covering my forehead. I look over to see that Alec was still sleeping peacefully next to me

I slowly get off the bed so I won't wake him as I make my way to my room

Thats when a huge headache comes and I swear a flash of something came. It lasted a small second but it was a small baby boy

My eyes widened as I quickly came to the realization. My memory is being blocked.

I quickly throw on some clothes running to Jace's room. He was still sleeping too but I quickly shook him awake

"Jace!" I whisper yell and he groans opening his eyes. "Mads?..... What is it? Why the hell are you waking me up at 4:37 in the morning" He grunts rubbing his tired eyes

"Jace I think our memory is being blocked" I say and he shakes his head

"Impossible...... It can't be blocked Mads" he whispers and I shake my head

"I think when we were babies they wiped our memories. Jace there is something Valentine didn't want us to find out" I say and he gets up

"Give me 5 minutes. Go get some weapons ready" He says and I nod quickly writing a note so that when Alec and Izzy wake up they won't have a heart attack

I didn't say anything about the memories just that we went out on a mission and might come back late

After that I got three seraph blades and my whip. One blade for me and two for Jace since I had my whip

I also brought our steles

By the time I was done Jace was leaning against the counter.

"Ready?" He asks his voice echoing slightly in the empty room.

"Yeah let's go. " I say and that's when I realized something

"Wait...... Where are we going? The silent brothers?" I ask an he shakes his head

"Later. For now we need to talk to Magnus. He might know something "
Jace mumbles and I halt to a stop

"Are we going to tell Alec and Izzy?" I ask and he sighs "I don't know. Maybe when we get our memories unblocked" he mumbled and I nod

It was going to be hard to do that.

We then walked to Magnus in silence having to hear Magnus yell at us for waking him up

Alec's POV
I turn opening my eyes to see if Madelaine was there. I frowned when it was an empty bed and I sat up stretching before going to Isabelle's room

Once I entered I frowned not seeing Maddie. "Where's Mads?" I ask Izzy frowns a well

"I thought she was with you" Izzy says and I shake my head

"Probably with Jace" I mumble walking to his room lazily

Madelaine nor Jace were there and i resulted to checking everywhere in the institute

"Madelaine and Jace are missing" I say to Izzy. "Not missing. I found this" Izzy says handing me a small piece of paper.

It said that Madelaine and Jace were on a mission and I frown yet again

"What was so important that they couldn't wait for us? " Izzy ask tugging on her hair

" I think they needed time to clear their heads. You know together" I try to reason and Izzy nods

"I'm sure they're ok. I will make food!" She says and I laugh sarcastically before putting on a serious expression

"Your not going near the kitchen"
