Madelaine's POV I wake up in the institute on my bed. I look around confused. What happened? The last thing i remember is pushing Simon and Izzy away.
Anyways I get up and walk out confused as to why barely anyone is up. I look at the time to see its 3 in the morning
Oops. Well either way I go to Izzy's room but she's asleep so I go to Alecs room. He is sleeping with an arm covering his face. I creep my way into his bed.
"Alec"I whisper gently nudging him. He slowly opens his eyes but without removing his arm from his face.
"Madelaine"He says with a smile. I can't help put smile back at him. "Can i sleep with you tonight I can't go back to bed." I tell him and he nods tired but yet he still hasn't removed his arm
Stupid arm. Preventing me from seeing his gorgeous face. An idea comes to mind and I quickly lie down next to him pushing his arm up and going under it forcing him to basically cuddle me.
He has his eyes closed but I see a smile on his face before he pulls me closer

I sigh happily and slowly fall back to sleep. When I wake up again Alec isn't there making me frown.
I quickly get up stretching my limbs before I walk out. I make my way to Izzy's room hoping she is awake this time.
As I suspected she was at her desk doing something. "Hey Iz" I say and she turns around wide eyes. "Mads!"She yells and tackles me into a hug.
"What the hell were you thinking pushing Simon and I out of the way like that. You got hurt!" She exclaims softly punching my arm.
I chuckle at her and bring her into a hug. " I was thinking that I wasn't going to let my parabatai be hurt. Thank you very much." Before she can respond we are interrupted by someone barging into the room.
I look up to see Alec. "Izzy Jace needs are help and even though-" he stops seeing me. "What the hell you were asleep like 2 minutes ago" he says confused leading Izzy and I to die in laughter.
"Anyways what did you need Alec" Izzy says which Alec looks at me with a bit of guilt in his eyes. "Jace needs us and even though I'm pissed at him he is my parabatai. Plus its to save Luke." he says.
My heart immediately hurts at the thought of Jace. He hasn't talked to me in the past week. Just pass me by without a second glance.
"I'm going to the training room see you guys after the mission.Ok?" I say giving Izzy a quick hug and Alec a quick peck on the cheek.
