Isabelle's POV
"Madelaine!" I shout running after her grabbing my seraph blade. I see her inspecting blood drops on the floor
She looks up hearing me. "Izzy?" she says confused. Did she think I was going to let her go after Valentine and his men on her own? Plus I wanted whoever hurt my brother to pay.
"I'm going with you. Valentine is going to pay for laying his hands on Alec." I say and she smiles slightly and we follow the drops of blood together.
They lead to a dark alleyway just around the corner of institute. We see a pool of blood but no sign of any circle members other than a shirt laying on the floor
"I think this belongs to the guy who attacked Alec. Maybe he used his iratze rune to heal himself?" Madealine said and I nod my head. At least Alec got him back.
"Lets use our parabatai tracking and see if we can find him." I say and she nods. We run our steles over our rune and grasp onto each others hands. Then we focus on the shirt and finding the circle member.
"Got it" We say in sync and make our way to find the building. On our way there we stay in silence letting out thoughts consume us.
"Do you think Alec is going to be ok?" Madelaine whispers breaking the silence. I look at her sadly feeling slightly guilty that I left Alec
"Yes I do. He is a Lightwood and a fighter of course he is going to be ok." I respond truth fully. I knew Alec would make it out ok. He is one if the best fighters I have ever known.
"Iz Valentine is going after him because of me." she says and I look at her confused. " Mads you have to stop blaming yourself for everything bad that happens." I tell her.
She lays too much pressure on herself. "No Iz Valentine wants me to join him. He is probably trying to hurt me by hurting the people i love." she says and I shake my head
" This isn't your fault its Valentine's" I tell her and at that moment we arrived to the building.
We quickly hide around a corner. "Ok there is around six circle members i'll take three from the left and you take the three from the right." I say and she nods.
Time to get revenge for Alec
