Madelaine's POV

I stared at the man in shock as a son escapes my lips. I stood there frozen as Jace ran up to him and untied him

He smiled weakly.

"Jace. Madelaine you have grown up so much" He says as he we stare at him

I sob hugging him tightly as he returns the gesture.

He lets go of me and looks at Jace. "Jace look at you all the training it paid off" he says pulling Jace into a hug

Alec places a hand on my shoulder as I give him a weak smile. He offers me a small smile back wiping the tears from my eyes

"Dad lets go before Valentine gets back!" Jace says as dad nods and we walk towards the entrance.

"No circle members will be arriving there any second if I remember correctly there is an exit in the back lets go there" dad says and we all nod

When we follow him it leads into a big room and Michael stops to take a breath

"Sorry guys I'm old now. You know Valentine is looking for the cup right?" he asks and Clary nods

"Yeah thankfully we have it and won't let him have it" she says and dads eyes widen

"You have the cup. Can- can I see it?" he asks and Clary blinks looking at him with a blank stare before taking out the cup and handing it over

"You fools" he mumbles once Clary hands him the cup. He pulls out a stele and runs it over a rune

The face of my dad disappears and Valentines grinning face appears

"You son of a-" I charge towards him anger coursing through me but Alec holds me back

"DEMONS ATTACK MY ENEMIES!" He yells and hundreds of demons pour into the room

"I'm sorry son" He says looking at Jace as Jace smirks

"For what?" he asks and Clary pulls out another cup

"CUT IT OUT AND GET BACK" She yells at the demons and they obey her as Valentine frowns when his cup becomes a mug

Jace then walks up with his seraph blade.

"I'm going to kill you. First you attack my sister. Then pretend to be my dad. I'm done with your games" Jace says and Valentine smiles

"You wouldn't kill your father would you?" he says and Jace looks taken back

"Father? Your not my father. Your Clary's father" he says and Valentine shakes his head

"Yes I'm Clary's father. I'm also yours and Madelaine. Fun fact actually your not brother and sister. I mean you are but your actually twins." he says and Jace shakes his head

"Your lying!" He yells and Valentine shakes his head as circle members begin to enter

"I'm not you can do the research yourself" he says and Clary drags Jace's arm back

"We have to go!" she says and we all run out the building

The minute we enter the institute Jace and I lock ourselves in his room. "Our father is..... Is that monster. Clary is our sister." I say and Jace shakes his head

"No he is lying!" Jace mumbles and I sit down trying to process everything

"Were twins." I say and he looks down.

"Mads you can't really believe the stuff he said" Jace says and I sigh

"What if it is true Jace! What if we are monsters like him!" I yell and Jace stands up

"We aren't monsters. We aren't his kids." Jace says and I stay silent hazing at the floor

"I'm going to go to Alec" I say and he nods sitting down as I send him one last glance before going to find Alec

"I heard what he said. Your really going to still date that monster. She is Valentine's daughter!" I hear a voice that I hate

"I don't care! I love her! I already warned you if you talked bad about her I wouldn't be friends with you. You crossed the line Bella. Go away!" I hear Alec yell and I walk in to his room to see Bella give me a disgusted stare

"You accused me of working for Valentine and your his daughter" she hisses as she walks past me bumping shoulders

"Come here" Alec mumbles and I run into his arms enjoying the comfort

"Do you think what Valentine said was true?" I ask and Alec sighs

"I don't know what to believe but no matter what I still love you" He says and I smile

"I love you too"
