Chapter 7

Madelaine's POV
I woke up with my head pounding. I groaned opening my eyes just to see darkness and only a slight light coming from a crack behind what seems to be a door. My hands and legs were chained to a wall and I continuously tried to get free

But it was no use I was stuck. I'm so weak. How can i let a bunch of circle members get me?Is Alec and Jace and Isabella coming for me?Do they even realize I'm gone?All these thoughts ran through my head until I heard the door open

I look up to see the Asshole himself.
"Valentine"I spit out."My dear Madelaine how have you been?"He says in a sweet voice. I cringed at that.

"I'm doing terrible now that I have seen you"I say with a sarcastic smile. "You dare say that to me?!"He yells with a furious voice. I smirk"oh of course not I was talking to the wall"I say overly sarcastic.

"Ill show you little one"He says with an evil smirk and walks to the corner of the room. I can't see anything but I can hear metal. "Lets see how much you talk after this"He says and takes a knife so small it can be a pocket knife and stabs me in the stomach around 3 times.

I don't show any pain or scream not wanting to give him the satisfaction of my pain. It did hurt like hell though. I felt the blood slowly pouring out of me making me feel slightly nauseous.

Valentine then drops the knife and decides to give my face a high five with his damn knuckles!My head twists to the left from the impact.

He just laughs and does it to the opposite side. He repeats this about one more time satisfied as my lips bust open and my nose starts dripping blood. I still refuse to show any pain though.

"Oh Madelaine why don't you smile for the camera. This video is going to your little friends and your brother."He says happy that he knows I won't smile for him.

I surprise him though. I let out a huge grin ignoring the pain. "Hey guys your so lucky you don't have to deal with this shithead right now."I say staring directly into his eyes His eyes show two emotions. Shock and anger.

"You little...."He cuts himself off as he walks up to me the video still recording and kicks me directly where my stab wounds are making more blood come out.

"You want to say something smart again?"He asks and I look at him fake confusion on my face. "I don't understand what I did wrong
..........Ooohhhhhh! I didn't say cheese I apologize sincerely sir."I say in a mocking voice.

He then turns off the camera and hits me on the side of the head instantly knocking me out.

Alec's POV
"Do you guys have anything yet?"I ask Izzy,Jace and Clary. "I can't find anything on the cameras they might have used a portal."Jace says still searching along with Clary. "Isabelle?"I look at her hoping she found something through their parabatai bond."I can't find anything its almost as if she disappeared into thin air."she responds

"Urghh!"I yell and make my way to check all cameras their possibly is of New York.

"A-Alec s-sir I'm sorry for um interuppting but t-this just came i-in the mail d-directed to you."Says Daniel who is a shy but nice guy in the institute.

"Thank you" I say and take the tiny box. I open it and see a tape. I go to the computer and set everything up. Jace and Isabelle as well as Clary behind me curious as to what it is.

I kick play and my heart swells up when I see Madelaine chained to a wall a stab wound in her stomach and blood dripping down the side of her face.Her nose and lip are also bleeding which means that we shoot punched her.

"Oh Madelaine why don't you smile for the camera. This video is going to your little friends and your brother."I hear Valentine's disgusting voice say. I can tell he is testing Madelaine. he thinks she won't do it but I know her and she would. I also knew that she was going to do it but it would lead to some consequence.

Just as I suspected she looks at something behind the camera which I suppose is Valentine and grins. She is hiding her pain pretty well but I know this girl like the back of my hand to know she is in a lot of pain.

"Hey guys your so lucky you don't have to deal with this shithead right now." She says with a slight smirk. I can tell he is mad because she has a satisfied look on her face.

"You little......"Is all hear until Valentine reveals himself in front of the camera. In front of Madelaine and I look away when he begins to kick her stab wound. "You want to say something smart again?"He asks and I know she is going to respond.

"I don't understand what I did wrong
..........Ooohhhhhh! I didn't say cheese I apologize sincerely sir."she says and that's when the video ends. "Shit!"I yell and run to the training room. I punch a bag as hard as I can for at least 5 minutes without anything to protect my knuckles.

I'm still punching the bag when I hear a voice. "Alec stop your hurting yourself!"I know its Izzy because I can hear her heels running towards me. She grabs my hand and examines my knuckles. It was then I realized they were bleeding.

"Alec don't hurt yourself"She whispers and looks me in the eyes. She has only one emotion flashing in her eyes. Sadness. It was then I realized how harder this must be for her.

"Come here Iz I know you have tears bottled up inside. She's your Parabatai. Just let it out."I say pulling her into a right hug. That's when she starts sobbing in my chest and I just run my hands through her hair and whisper soothing words into her hair

"It sucks Alec. It sucks so much. I can feel her pain and I can't do anything. I just want her here safe."She cries and I pull her closer. "Me too Iz. Me too"I say holding my sister as if she was going to break or disappear in any second.
