Madelaine's POV
"Why can't we just go to the silent brothers? Won't it be faster?" I ask after Magnus told us he didn't wipe our memories or know who did

"Mads if the silent brothers know then then they will inform the clave." Jace sighs running his hands through his hair

"Well where are we supposed to go now?" I ask and Jace shrugs before speaking up

"The house we grew up in. In Idris" he says. Is he crazy?

"We need a portal for that. Not only that but we have to inform the clave about it. And i don't think they are too keen on having us there" I say

"We don't have another option Mads. We will go next week somehow when we have an excuse" He says

"I think we should tell Alec and Izzy. They will be mad if we don't tell them" I say

"Mads we have to keep this a secret for now. At least until we get our memories back"

"Fine"

Alec's POV
"What's taking them so long?" I ask Izzy as we put our dishes away

"Chill Alec." Izzy mumbles as we go to the monitor. "We still have to focus on Valentine" Izzy says as we continue to our search

My mind keeps drifting off to Madelaine though.

What is she gets hurt?
What if she is hurt?

Jace is fine i know that.

Just as I was going to call Madelaine and make sure she was ok her and Jace walk through the institute doors

I breathe out a sigh of relief quickly hugging Madelaine.

"Maddie!" I say gleefully as she smiles hugging me again. "Alec!"

I laugh ruffling her hair a bit as she swats my hand away patting her hair down

"Anything new?" Jace asks leaning on one of the tables. "Nothing yet. Not even signs of that much demon activity which is strange"

"What if Valentine is building an army?" Madeline asks and I shake my head

"No he doesn't have the cup for that" I say as she nods "how about Clary how is she holding up?" Mads asked and Izzy sighed

"The best that she can be right now" Madelaine nods before her face brightens up

"I have cookies!" She yells running to the kitchen as Jace and I share a knowing look

We find Madelaine frowning at an empty cookie box "who ate my cookies?" She pouts

"Jace!"

"Alec!"

"Idiots" Izzy mumbles walking past us and handing Madelaine a new pack of cookies

"This is why your my favorite" Mads says quicky opening her pack

"Hey!" I say and she shrugs.

"She is my other half. Plus you ate my cookies" Madelaine says as her and Izzy link arms and walk off

"Training room? One on one?" I ask

Jace smirks. "Thought you would never ask"
