Chapter 10

Madelaine's POV
I just made out with Alec! He told me he loved me! I told him I loved him back! Ahhhhhh! This feels amazing.

I'm currently walking to Jace's room when I hear something from behind the door.

"Clary! Do you even hear yourself right now? Alec and I are going on a mission you can ask Izzy and you want me to send my recovering sister with you! No! I won't have you risk my sisters life just because you think you found something. Wait for Alec and I to come back from our mission and that's final." I hear him say

"Clary I'll go and Jace I'm ok stop worrying."I say walking in. Jace looks at me like I'm some sort of alien. "You woke up 3 hours ago Madelaine I won't allow it" he says through gritted teeth. "First of all your sounding like Alec and second of all you can't control my actions Jace." I say getting slightly annoyed.

"No"He says bluntly

"Yes"

"No"

"No"

"No!"

"Ughhh Jace why not" I yell out in fusturation. "You want to know why? I almost lost you Madelaine. What am I supposed to do without you?!"He yells. I immediately understand why.

"Jace I will be fine after all I am a Wayland so I'm kick ass" I say my tone humorus. "Fine but if anything happens I'm going to murder you myself" he says and gives me a kiss on the forehead then walks out.

"Looks like were stook together"I tell Clary with a small smile. "Thank you. I'm sorry that I'm asking you to do this but it just my mother is still missing and I want to bring her back." She says tears forming in her eyes.

"Hey were going to get her back now lets go get Izzy." I say softly and she nods. As were walking I bump into someone and I look up to see Alec. We both smile like idiots when we see each other.

"Hey Clary go get Isabelle i will be there in a minute." I say still looking st Alec. "Ok"she says and walks off.

"Where are you going?"Alec asks confused. "Clary thinks she found something that might help her find her mother and her, Isabelle and I are going."I say.

"I don't think that's a good idea i mean your just recovering and-"I cut off Alec's rant. "Jace and I already talked now calm down. Also be careful on your mission with Jace."I say and give him a pat on the arm and begin to walk off to Izzy's room.

Before I can walk away any further I feel arms circle around my waist and next thing i know I am on Alec's chest. He pulls away softly and gives me a soft and gentle kiss. "I hope your here when I get back."Is all he says then walks off leaving me standing there for a good 3 seconds before I walk to Izzy's room.

"Hey Madelaine you ready"Isabelle asks and I nod. She comes up to me and links her arms with mine. "Hey Clary we will meet you outside."she says and we walk out.

"Soooo what happened between you and Alec?"She says. "Weelllll we sort of admitted that we loved each other and may have made out a slight bit."I say all in one breath. Izzy lets out a loud squeal right in my ear

I groan. "Izzy I love you but my eardrum isn't going to work if you keep squealing." I say

"Sorry I'm just really happy for you guys."She says hugging me and I smile. "Thanks Iz" I say

"I'm still your favorite Lightwood
Though right?"she says looking me straight in they eye. "Of course!"I laugh and bring her into another hug just as Clary comes out.

"Did you ding anything?"I ask Clary looking over Simons shoulder to see her open a floor board and pull out a box.

"We will see when I open this box."She says and then Izzy runs in with a panicked expression. "We have a problem"She says and I look at her confused.

"There is almost 2 dozen circle member outside and I don't think we can take them by ourselves."She says and I look at her with wide eyes looking out the window to see she is indeed telling the truth.

I quickly pull out my phone and call Alec

M:Alec have you left your mission yet?
A:Yeah jace and I are on our way to the institute right now what's wrong?
M:Alec we are trapped in Clary's loft there is about 2 dozen circle member outside.
A: i'm on my way
M:Hurry Alec
I hang up after that so we can come up with a plan to.stay safe until Alec shows up.

"Ok Clary and Simon stay in this room. Izzy lets keep watch out for Alec and Jace they are going to need our help."I say and she nods in understatement

Alec please hurry.
