Chapter 50

Alec's POV

I franctically knocked on Isabelle's door as I heard her sobbing. I knew Isabelle wasn't in there and I hoped Madelaine would listen

"Maddie if you don't open this door I will kick it down!" I threaten and she knew I wasn't kidding as she opened the door

Her eyes were red and puffy. Her eyes had tears that kept falling freely from her face

"Go away!" She yells and I step closer trying to hold her but she takes a step back

"Maddie I swear" I begin but she glares at me. "I don't want to hear it! I trusted you! I loved you and this is what you do! I hope I never see your horrible face again!" She shouts and I stand there tears forming in my own eyes

"Mads" I whisper and she shakes her head shoving me out the door. She soon slams it shut as I slide against the door

Tears were falling out of my eyes and it wasn't long until I was sobbing myself.

I hated crying but this was Madelaine

The girl that I loved.

No. I won't give up. I knock on the door again and again before she opens the door again opening her mouth to say something but I take a step closer making her shut her mouth and taking a step back

We repeated this process until her back was pressed against Izzy's wall. I quickly trap her in and she glares at me trying to escape my grip.

"Hear me out please" I say and she sighs nodding. I trail my hands lower resting them at her waist hearing her large intake of air

"I didnt kiss her" I say and she laughs drly. "Yeah because I was hallucinating" Madelaine says rolling her eye

I tighten my grip on her waist making her take another intake of air

"Please believe me Maddie" I beg a she looks down. I place my hand underneath her chin forcing her to look me in the eyes

"I would never hurt you intentionally Maddie. Your the only person I want to be with. Your the only person I want to love romantically. The only person I want to hug and kiss and cuddle. I was waiting for you. I didn't know it was her Mads. The minute she kissed me I knew it wasn't you and I pushed her away..... You know the rest" I say and she looks at me questionably

"How did you know it wasn't me?" She asks and I chuckle leaning in closer my lips brushing over hers

"Your kisses send sparks throughout my body Mads. Your a drug and I can't get enough" I say and she places her hand on my chest. "Fine. I'm sorry for not believing you" she mumbles and I smile pressing my lips over hers

We stayed like that for a while before pulling away

"We need to go check on Isabelle before she murders someone" she says and I nod as we try to find where Izzy is

We find her in Bella's room on top of her attacking her.

Before either one of us could get her off a red spark appeared and Izzy flies back

Bella stands up her face bloody and her eyes shining bright red. "You ruined it! She was meant to be heart broken. So it would be easier for Valentine to have her. I guess it should just go to plan B" Bella says

My eyes widen as Madelaine begins to cough and gasp falling to the floor and Izzy was feeling the same thing on the other side

"Stop!" I shout but Bella doesn't listen as she glares at Madelaine. I quickly tackle her to the floor breaking her concentration

She growls at me. Yes growls.

That's when she pulls out a dagger and tried to swing at me. "Alec!" Madelaine yells as she succeeds.

I look down at the dagger laying in my chest as blood begins to pool out

"Sorry. It was the only way" Bella says as I tumble back words still trying to process everything and she opens a portal disappearing. So she's a warlock?

"Alec!" I hear Jace yell and footsteps as Madelaine cries out as I fall to the floor.

I feel the metallic taste of blood in my mouth as more and more rises in my throat.

"Alec no! Please no! Don't do this to me." Madelaine cries placing my head on her lap.

"D..don't c...c....cry yo........ur to be.......autiful" I choke out coughing on blood.

"Alec!" Jace yells taking my hand. Izzy quickly draws an iratze but it didn't seem to do much.

"Alec I know what your feeling. Don't even close your eyes" he says and I try my best to keep my eyes open

"I l..ove you g..uys" I manage to choke out before dark spots begin to clpud my vision

The last thing I saw was Madelaine's hand grabbing Jace's as the other was on my wound

And their eyes were glowing bright gold
