Chapter 46

Alec's POV
My heart shatter into a million pieces as she says those words.

I shake my head.

"No no no no. Maddie please" I beg but she looks down a second wiping her eyes

Then her emerald green eyes look at me with so much sadness. "Alec you deserve better" she whispers and that's when I had it

"You think I care Maddie!" I yell and she takes a step back but I take her arms pressing her against the wall caging her in with my body

"You think that your a monster. That I deserve better. Guess what Mads I don't care. I don't love anyone else. I love you. Your not a monster and even if there was someone better which there isn't I would still choose you" I say gently stroking her cheeks

"Do you really mean that" she asks and I nod. "I do. Please Mads don't do this" I say and she opens her mouth to say something but instead closes it and leans up instead

Her soft lips connect with mine and I kiss her back like she was going to disappear any second.

After a few more minutes she pulls back wiping her eyes a bit before letting out a small laugh

"By the angel I'm stupid" She says and I can clearly tell she is talking about the whole breaking up thing

"No your not. You were doing what you thought was right. To protect me. That proves your not a monster" I say and she smiles

Leaning down I give her another kiss but this one was more rough. My hands were going around her waist while hers stayed on my chest

I gently bite her bottom lip causing a small groan to leave her mouth before she flips our positions

My back hits the wall roughly but I don't care all I cared about was the beautiful girl in front of me

She pulls back a bit taking a small intake of air before leaning up again this time her mouth slightly parted

I smiled and connected my lips quickly with hers as we fought for dominance.

I then flip us back to where she was against the wall but placing my hands on her thighs gently hoisting her up

Her legs wrapped around my waist automatically and her hands moved to my hair gently tugging

I then hold her more securely before beginning to walk towards my room

Once I get there I open the door walking in before closing it quickly. I gently placed her on the door detaching my lips before trailing small kisses down her jawline to her neck

Once my lips reach the sensitive area I gently bite down and her legs wrap themselves tighter around me and I groan before looking up to her eyes

They were dark and showed want and desire. I smiled before gently walking to the bed hovering over her before we connected our lips again

Her legs were still around my waist and it was driving me crazy. My hands gently went under her thin top as my hands slid across her soft skin

She moaned softly tugging at my shirt

We detached for a second as I got it over my head before reconnecting our lips.

Suddenly the door barges open and a squeal is heard.

"Why is it that everytime I walk in you two are making out. Alec put on a shirt!" We hear Izzy yell and Madelaine laughs sitting up as I reach for my shirt putting it on

"What is it Iz?" I asked annoyed from the interruption. "Jace found some information about Valentine. " Izzy says and I roll my eyes

" We will be there in a few" I mumble before Izzy nods walking out and closing the door behind her

"That was something. What happened to shy Alec?" Madelaine ask smiling up at me

"Well when you were going to break up with me I figured I had to do something" I say and she immediately frowns

"Sorry about that" she mumbles and I smile. "Hey I don't care. It's in the past. All I care is that you retracted your statement and we're here together" I say grabbing her hand as we walk to the monitors

When we go there I feel Madelaine tense up and when I look at her she is looking at something from the distance

I follow her gaze to see Bella giving her a dirty look. Bella might be my friend but I hated when she disrespected Madelaine

I glared at her making her eyes widen and she looks away as I wrap my arms around Madelaine and drag her towards Jace

This was going to be a long day

When we get there Jace looked sick and I knew something bad was about to happen.

"What is it?" Madelaine asks quickly stepping next to her brother.

He gives her a small sad smile. "Clary found something. " Jace says handing her a few items

"J.C. and the locket says M.R." She mumbles sadly

"What does that have to do with anything?" Clary asks confused before speaking up again

"My mom used to pull these out crying over them" Clary says and Madelaine looks up through teary eyes

"J.C. stands for Jonathon Christopher " Madelaine says and Clary nods. "So?" She says and Madelaine sniffs

"That's Jace's name. Jace is a nickname" Madelaine explains and Clary gasps a bit

"And M.R. stands for Madelaine Rose" She lets out before dropping the things.

"Clary your our sister. This proves what Valentine says wasn't a lie" Jace says through gritted teeth and Madelaine got increasingly pale

"I need some air" She lets out and runs to the institute door. I quickly follow and see her as she sits on the step

"Mads your nothing like him" I try to say but she shakes her head. "I just want you to hold me Alec" She whispers as I sit down next to her wrapping my arms around her moving her to my lap

I gently rub her back and run my hands through her hair mumbling soothing words before I felt her breathing even out and her head drops completely on my shoulder

I carefully stand up an walk inside the institute with her in my arms as I carry her to my room

I lay her down gently before kissing the top of her head beginning to walk away

Before I can a hand makes contact with my arm pulling me back. " Stay" Mads mumbles her eyes still closed and I lay down next to her as she cuddles up to me

My heart hurt for her. She has been going through so much without any breaks and I wish I could take her pain away

" I love you" I mumble softly into her blonde hair as I lay my head on top of hers looking blankly at the wall

I hope Valentine goes away so she could be in peace
