I sing my heart out, that's all I've been doing for the last week. I haven't talked to Ryder, she has called me twice but I never pick up. I guess she got the idea I really don't want to talk to her.

I carefully put my guitar down, I walk into the lounge room, shoving the lion king into the DVD player. I curl up on the couch, letting my mind drift into thought.

I wake to knocking at my door, it doesn't stop at all. I am not in the mood for visitors, I've been avoiding everyone and everything this week.

I was about to shut the door, but she pushes it back.

"She isn't my girlfriend!" She yells loudly, desperation clinging to her voice.

"Ryder-," I was cut off.

"She isn't my girlfriend. She wants to be but I don't!" She yells once again.

RYDER'S POV

"Fine! Come in," Demi orders me, I just step in heading for the lounge room.

I stand awkwardly in the middle of the room. Demi walks in, standing just a couple of steps away with her hands crossed over her chest.

"Okay. 20 questions now! We are getting this sorted!" I say with my bitterness coming out quickly.

"Question 1. Are you dating Laylah?" Demi asks with a pissed look.

"No. Question 1, why have you been avoiding me?" I ask with hope that it wasn't because she is convinced I'm with someone else.

"Because I thought you were dating Laylah. Question 2, if your not dating Laylah then what is she to you?" She asks her pissed look still filling her eyes.
