"WHERE did Grandpa find you?"

"Stop it Ivonne. She's Tito Louis' daughter to a poor woman."

"Really? Wow. No wonder. She looks like..... a total outcast."

And I heard their mocking laughter as all I could do was to look down and prevent the tears brimming in my eyes.

She rushed over to me and began patting my back.

"Milady, please come down. You're stuttering already. You'll be fine."

I tried to relax my breathing as my heart felt like it's about to burst. Ms. Guevarra a pure Filipina became my personal maid and my tutor when I first arrived at the Collins' manor. AS those memories of the past visited me again in my dreams I felt a tear escaped from my eyes. Mali si Ate. No man will fall in love with me. Because I'm weak... A coward...
