( WEAK AT THE KNEES )
by onemorefanaccount

The party was in full swing and (Y/N) was already over it all. She had lost sight of her friends about an hour ago and hadn't run into them as she wandered around the house, attempting to stay out of range from those she had no interest in speaking to tonight.

Bryce, Justin and the others were always trying to convince (Y/N) to get more involved during these get togethers that were most definitely not her thing. Tonight was no different. Currently, they were trying to rope her into playing 'Truth or Dare'.

(Y/N) came to a stop outside by the pool. Sitting down on a chair, she fell back against it with a sigh.

She just wanted to go home-but she couldn't without her friends. As their sworn designated driver she couldn't leave them behind. Wouldn't. She knew what they could be like and didn't want to take the chance.

She didn't know how long she was sitting there alone. It may have been a few seconds or a lot of minutes.

"(Y/N)!"

Her head slowly turned to see her best friend stumbling her way towards her. "You okay there?" she asks (Y/F/N[1]) as she squeezed beside her on the chair.

Moving across so there was more room, her friends head fell on her shoulder. "I. Am. Amazing," she said slowly before falling into a fit of giggles.

(Y/N) rolls her eyes, but nevertheless wraps an arm around (Y/F/N[1]) to keep her steady. "Did you want to get out of here?"

The girl frowns shaking her head only to clutch it in her hands a moment later. "Maybe," she slurs.

"Do you know where (Y/F/N[2]) is?" (Y/N) questions softly, receiving a small nod. "Can you tell me where?"

"Couch," she mumbles, closing her eyes.

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep. (Y/N) felt uneasy about leaving her alone on the chair but ultimately decided that she had to collect their friend and she would only be a few minutes.

Still, she noticed Jeff only a few meters away and called out for him. He turns at the sound of his name, smiling when he sees (Y/N). "What's up?" he asks, jogging over.

"I need to find (Y/F/N[2])," she sighs, "would you mind just...watching her," she says nodding down at (Y/F/N[1]), "until I come back? You don't have to sit with her or anything...just make sure no one..." (Y/N) trails off, uncomfortable with where her mind had headed.

Jeff nods in understanding, "Don't worry. She'll be fine," he smiles.

"Thank you so much," (Y/N) says, breathing out in relief.

Reluctantly making her way back inside, (Y/N) managed to quickly find her way to the lounge. Unfortunately that's where they were gathered.

Bryce caught her gaze, noticing she had arrived before anyone else and his grin grew in size. "(Y/N) (Y/L/N)!" he announces, catching the attention of practically everyone in the circle around the room. "Just in time. We're just about to start a new round, join us!"

She shakes her head, "No can do, I'm on duty," she jokes, moving towards her friend who was happily joining in on the game.

"Just one more game," her friend promised, peering up at her, evidently much more sober then their friend who was outside.

(Y/N) crouched to the ground and spoke quietly to her friend, "(Y/F/N[2]), I want to go now. (Y/F/N[1])'s passed out and I need to get her home."
