How dare he. You sat there, loneliness filling your veins as you watched your boyfriend of six months holding another girls hand. There were rumors, there were always rumors about him.You just didn't want to believe that they were true. He was such a good guy, he was respectful and always had your best interest in heart, didn't he? You felt tears brim your eyes, the burning lump in your throat threatening to release the storm in your heart. You saw him turn around, his eyes went wide and he quickly let go of the blonde girls hand. "(Y/N)-" he starts, but you just shake your head and quickly leave the almost empty classroom.

You go past his friends, feeling sort of violated by their lack of honesty. Justin noticed you first, his smile fading as he noticed the tear stained cheeks resting on your face. He quickly follows you, grabbing your arm to stop you from going further. "Hey, (Y/N), what happened?" He asks, a look of concern setting over his face. You looked at him, shaking your head as you looked down. "Like you don't know" you managed to get out. He looked confused. "Is it with Zach? Is something wrong with Zach?" He asks, looking around to see his best friend just steps away, still keeping his distance. You shake your head, wiping your cheeks even if it didn't make a difference.

"He cheated Justin" you whispered, finally looking at him. "The rumors are true, he cheated on me" you said, "I gave him my heart and he just crushed it" you whisper out shakily as more tears fall. His mouth falls open as if to say something, but he closes it as he shakes his head. "(Y/N), you know him, he would never cheat on you" he says softly after a minute. You let out a shaky laugh, licking your lips as you look away. "You're just like him" you glared at him before you turned, leaving the school. He didn't see what you did, he didn't feel the stabbing pain in your chest, he didn't know he was wrapped in the web of lies.

You start your way to your car, feeling the tears threatening to spill again. You get in, but before you could lock the doors you heard the passenger door open and watched as Zach got in, concern all over his face. "(Y/N)" he said softly, looking at you. "Get out, get out of my car now Zach." You snapped, looking at him. He bites his lip. "Just let me explain" he starts, you just chuckle dryly. "Explain what? That it was only supposed to be a one time thing? That you never thought I would find out?" You say, resent laced in the words. "What?" He asks, a broken feature surrounds his eyes as he looks at you. "What? No, (Y/N)" he starts, his voice cracking slightly. "You thought I was cheating on you?" He asks in disbelief. "You're accusing me of cheating" he whispered, sounding almost powerless.

You looked at him, feeling your heart sink as his eyes filled with tears. "You were holding her hand Zach, you were so close to her" you say, feeling the tears fall. You watch as he covers his mouth with his hand. "You think I'm cheating" he says one more time quietly. You felt anger bubble up in you. "Are you seriously  making this about you Zach?" You yelled. "You are holding hands with another girl, you are spending all your time with another girl, and somehow you get to be the broken one?" You snapped, tears starting to fall a little faster. He looks at you. "Yes, yes, I am making this about me." He yells, shaking his head. "I love you, and that terrifies me, but I love you," he admits, tears falling."I thought you could trust me, I thought you would believe me over them and here I am, getting accused of cheating, feeling my heart breaking at the mere thought of hurting you.Yet you won't believe me" he laughs shakily, licking his lip as he looks out the window.

I love you, and that terrifies me. The words played in your head and you couldn't help but breathe in a shaky breath. "You love me?" You ask softly. He bites his lips and looks at you. "I loved you" he nods. "But clearly I put too much trust in the wrong person" he says coldly before getting out of your car. "Zach wait" you say, but he's already gone. You feel numbness creeping over your body as the unwanted sobs start, you just lost Zach Dempsey, and with every step he took your world started to fall apart.
