ALTERNATE ENDING TO THE FIVE SEASONS
The memories were vague, and fuzzy. Although that was how the moment was perceived at the time. There was no way (Y/N) was drunk on two tiny flutes of champagne. Both had come from Nick St. Clair, he had to have added something.
"I just want to have some fun, party girl," She could feel Nick smirk against her neck as he continued peppering kisses there. His hands moved over her thighs and her stomach, but she pushed her thoughts elsewhere. "Just relax."
(Y/N) jerked awake, rigid and eyes wide. It was her body's reaction to a lack of oxygen as she struggled with another nightmare. It wasn't the first. Yet as (Y/N) lay in the early dawn light of her quiet bedroom, something felt wrong.
She was up in a swift movement, a quick dash to the bathroom before heaving up what was left in her digestive system from last night's dinner. At last there was nothing, just the violent contraction of her stomach, as it made sure nothing was left. Once she got herself more relaxed on the cool tile, leaning against the porcelain toilet bowl, she was sure her worst fear had been confirmed.
She had tried to ignore it the first time. However throwing up at the crack of dawn for six days straight was not normal. Especially as (Y/N) had not experienced any symptoms that would indicate a stomach bug or the flu. She couldn't help the sobs that wracked her body and the shallow breathing that developed. She was going to have another panic attack.
Again, not uncommon after what had happened. She told her dad she was just struggling to cope with everything, especially with the Black Hood running around. Her dad could never find out, and Archie promised to keep her secret.
So when he found her, in the bathroom yet again, he assumed it was just another nightmare-induced panic. He crouched down next to her, like he had done almost every morning since, and he held her hands tightly. He helped her breathe through it, all while distracting her with constant babble about what he was doing with the Bulldogs or his plans for Friday night with Veronica. However this time, she couldn't be calmed down as easily and Archie was worried that something else was wrong.
"What's going on? Has someone said something?" He tried to hide the panic in his voice. The thought of his baby sister being hurt more than she already had been made him feel sick. Despite her only being a couple of minutes younger, he had always assumed a protective role over her. For which she was grateful. He was the first person she had confided in after her incident, as they called it, with Nick.
Archie was supposed to be watching the doors, although this time without the help of uppers after (Y/N) declared they were doing more harm than good. She wanted her brother to sleep, to stop worrying for just a few hours. Yet he still felt guilty when she woke him up in the early hours of the morning after drifting off.
She was trying to sneak in through the back door but he heard her shuffling and crying. When he saw her, he could have sworn his heart stopped. Her hair was knotted and messy; make up smudged and streaked with tears. Her new dress was torn, her shoes were missing, and she was limping.
Upon seeing her brother, (Y/N) collapsed on the floor. She leant against the cupboard doors and just sobbed. He swooped over and held his sister to his chest tightly. He swore then he would make someone pay for the hurt they caused.
(Y/N) shook her head tightly. She wasn't completely certain, so she didn't want Archie to worry. That slight glimmer of hope that maybe she wasn't pregnant was squashed by her more rational thoughts, but she had to keep it together.
