It was a Friday night, Reggie and his team had lost the football semi-finals where there was scouts for football scholarships and he had lost that opportunity which irked him to the point where he didn't want to go have a movie night at Y/N's house. It was a tradition of there since they started dating. For 2 and a half years, they carried on the tradition and he wasn't going to ruin that, not even his mood.

While Reggie was on his way to Y/N's house, she was setting up Reggie's favourite snacks and laid out a selection of DVD's of Reggie's all time favourite films and T.V Series. Y/N found out about the game from Archie since her Chemistry teacher decided to keep her back to finish off her coursework. She knew he would be in a bitter mood so she decided to try and cheer him up even by a little. The doorbell rang which meant Reggie was here. Y/N smoothed down her PJ shorts and sped walk to the door opening it to see a sad Reggie but trying to hide his sadness with a fake smile. 

"Hey Y/N/N. Ready for movie night?"

He leaned forward and kissed her on the cheeks and walked into the house, leaving Y/N to shut the door.

"I'm alright...But are you? I knew ho-"

"Let's not talk about it tonight. Lets just watch movies and eat?"

"Okay..But know that I'm here if you need to ra-"

"DAMMIT Y/N I SAID CAN WE NOT TALK ABOUT IT!?" 

Y/N flinched at the volume of Reggie's voice and held a shock expression. Never in the time that they dated, has Reggie ever raised his voice at her... This shocked Y/N and Reggie but Reggie was fuming too much to care at the moment.

"Can't you tell I don't want to talk about the fact that I blew my chance to get a football scholarship?! This was my chance to prove to everyone that I have the skills to go professional Y/N. THIS WAS MY CHANCE!"

After his semi rant, he threw a cup at the wall causing Y/N to let out a tiny shriek. This situation was scaring Y/N by the second and Reggie could see that he was scaring her... He stormed out the house to his car, leaving Y/N standing in the middle of the room staring at the door, in shock of what had happened.
She decided to walk around Riverdale to find Reggie. However, luck was not on her side when the clouds suddening turned angry and started to let out low growls.

"Oh great! My biggest fear...Thunderstorms"

An hour later and she still cannot find Reggie. The rain was pelting down, the low growls got louder and closer causing Y/N to shake from the cold and fear. She would normally run to Reggie's house but since he was out in this weather, she had no one to turn too. She decided to go to Pop's since she could eat her fear with food and shakes.

Reggie was at sweetwater river staring into the distance while the weather decided to get worse. After 25 minutes, he heard a low growl coming from the clouds which meant that a thunderstorm was going to happen. His mind went instantly to Y/N. He got his phone out his pocket to call her to find out he had a voicemail from her. When he listened to it, he heard that she went out to look for him. He decided to go into his car and drive to Pop's because if she was not at home or his house, that would be the place that she would be.

While mindlessly stirring her shake with the red striped straw, the bell of the door went off which didn't quite grab her attention. The one thing that grabbed her attention was Reggie's voice calling her name. She looked up to see Reggie by the door. She got up from her seat and ran to Reggie wrapping her arms around his neck, not caring about how soaked he was and burying her face into his chest.

"Y/N I'm so sorry that I lashed out on you. I didn't mean to scare you. Why would you go out in this weather when it scares you so much."

Y/N didn't need his apologies, she understood why he acted the way he did. All she really cared about was that he was there when she truly needed him. Reggie kept mumbling sorry and kissing the top of her head non-stop then would move from the top of her head to her face, smothering her in kisses that caused Y/N to blush incredibly fast.

"Reggie we're in public. People are staring."

While she giggles because of the kisses, he would look at her so lovingly that it still caused a butterfly swarm to flutter in her stomach.

"I really don't care. If I got something to love. I'm going to flaunt it to show no one else can have it. Y/N L/N...You are one of a kind and I'm never letting you go. I love you."

Y/N smiles and rests her head on his shoulder biting her lip to contain the grin that is starting to show.

"I love you too Reggie. Now and forever as cheesy as that sounds."

"I love cheese."

He leaned down to kiss her and in that moment, a scholarship was something Reggie could careless about. All he cared about was Y/N L/N. The one that stoled his heart and mind.
