( HIGH ON LOVE AND JJ )by im-a-riverdale-slut

"Drugs? Fucking hell, Reggie, and not only taking them - dealing. I-I" you yelled at your boyfriend from across the hall, all attention on you.

You and Reggie had been an item for a long time. At first it was just fuck buddies, everyone knew that Reggie Mantle didn't do love nor relationships. But you, you were his undoing. You made him fall so hard he thought his heart had caught whiplash. Soon enough, you started dating and became the biggest it-couple of the Northside – like Kimye, Bee Z, or Brangelina. With all of the good of dating Reggie, you had to deal with his stupid and irrational decisions, and most of them you could deal with. But not one. You had found out about Nick St. Claires party, and more importantly – the JJ. The fact that he did it and brought it made your blood boil. The second you found out, you were storming down the hallways, pushing through the crowd of bulldogs. He was immedietly alerted, and tried to gently pull you away to an empty classroom trying to calm you down and evert get attention – both failed. "It's fine, Y/N." He hushed, finally getting you to go into a classroom.

"Are you kidding me! Reginald. It's not 'fine', dealing drugs, taking drugs, killing yourself, is not 'fine'" You were yelling, flailing your arms in the air, not giving a damn about who heard. Turning away, Reggie kicked a chair and roughly ran his hand through his hair, "I'm not stupid," he breathed to himself in frustration. "Yes, you are." Pulling him towards you, you made him look you in the eyes, begging him to listen through all of your rage.

"You will end up dead. Either from the drugs themselves or where the drugs come from, the ghoulies. I will not stand around to watch it happen, Reginald. If you don't change, all you are is a fucking ticking time bomb, and I'm not going to be part of the fallout." Your voice was no longer angry, nor raised, but shaky and fragile. Tears began threatening to spill from your eyes. For a few seconds, silence filled the room, then he just started bolting towards the door.

"Don't you fucking dare walk away from me. I swear to fucking God, Reginald, take another step and we're done. No more chances, no more excuses, no more bullshit, we are done." He paused, his hand trembling on the handle before tensing up and storming out. Leaving you a crying mess, alone, in the empty classroom.

For the next week, you and Reggie had said nothing to each other. No texts, no calls, no words, not even looks. If either one of you said you were fine, it would be a lie, you were both falling apart without each other but both of your stubbornness and pride got in the way of apologising. That was until one day. You were sitting in the common room with Kevin and Veronica, and they were both chatting away about fashion or models. "Y/N?" Kevin snapped his fingers in front of your face before a frown appeared on his face. "You're miserable."

"I'm not." You defended, crossing your ams, and slumping back into your chair. "Y/N/N, speak to him, please? His depressed too..." Shaking your head and huffing, you pleaded with them before a familiar voice came booming into the room.

"What the fuck, Andrews?" Reggie. Before even processing the situation, Kev and V had disappeared and a text came through on your phone, from Archie, 'Neither of you are coming out until you're okay'.

"Y/N," Reggie beseeched, tentatively walking closer to you. Backing away, you stated, "Stop." And started banging on the door. "I shouldn't have even had the drugs, and I have no excuse." He said, in defeat, sitting on the sofa. "Was it worth it?" The sarcasm and venom was laced in your voice, bitterness seeping out. "It was fun but, it wasn't worth losing you, Y/N. I love you so fucking much." For a second you were stunned, not expecting an answer. Then you saw the sadness and regret plastered over his face as he leaned down and put his head in his hands and your heart melted. How could you not forgive him? Walking over to him, you crouched in front of him looking at his face before placing a gentle kiss on his nose, and resting your forehead against his. "I love you too. Please don't ever do anything to do with Jingle Jangle again?"

"I'd be stupid to risk losing you again."
