( THE FIVE SEASONS )
by cherylsxvixen

"Then we walk into the Gilded Lily, and there's Gal again." (Y/N) stifled a yawn, growing bored of Nick's obnoxious name-dropping. Instead she focused on chipping away the nail polish on her fingernails, trying to ignore Reggie who was stood next to the window with Josie. Every time (Y/N) looked over, his hands were all over her and she felt sick.

Tomorrow's argument was inevitable. Reggie would say the same as always, pointing out that they technically weren't even together. That's why they weren't talking now. That's why he was all over Josie. HE was trying to hurt (Y/N). She'd only asked why they couldn't just be exclusive, because then there wouldn't be a problem.

Apparently that wasn't the way Reggie wanted to roll. He wanted to be free without commitment. It was the same thing every time and (Y/N) was sick of it but she still couldn't let him go.

"Archiekins, a refill, s'il vous plait?" Veronica pleaded, handing Archie her cup. He was sat on the lounge between his girlfriend and (Y/N), who had to turn away to hide her eye roll. She didn't appreciate the way Veronica had been acting all night, particularly towards her twin.

"Forget teetotaling. Lets move to something with more kick." Nick suggested, opening his suit jacket to reveal several straws of Jingle-Jangle.

"I hooked him up!" Reggie yelled, fist pumping the air. (Y/N) couldn't help but quietly scoff, making sure Reggie saw.

"Tasters? Who's up first?" Nick asked, standing from his armchair and offering the sticks around the room.

"We're not doing-" Archie tried to speak.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but you are an epic buzzkill." Nick grinned. Everyone glanced around the room at each other, not sure what to say or how to react. "Come on, V. Like back in the day?" Nick laughed, encouraging her. When she shook her head, he continued. "Aren't you supposed to be showing me a good time, per Daddy's orders?" Everyone saw Veronica reconsider and look around the room, noticing their eyes on her. (Y/N) was just glad Nick hadn't made his way to her yet.

"Down Nicky, I'm just getting going. And now that you mention it, I, in fact, wouldn't mind a little sugar to spice up this party." (Y/N) raised her eyebrow at how quickly Veronica could be persuaded.

"V, I don't-" She reached out to the girl's arm but she shrugged her off.

"What? Every other night it's burgers and milkshakes. Can't we just cut loose and pretend we're normal for once?" Nick plopped down on the couch between the two girls and grinned. Cheryl and Reggie shrugged, taking no time to grab their own straws from the table in the middle. Kevin and the Pussycats agreed and accepted their own straws. Then Nick turned to (Y/N).

"How about you pretty girl?" He coaxed, weaving his arm around her waist. Reggie stiffened from across the room; it didn't go unnoticed by (Y/N). Two could play at this game. (Y/N) reached for the straw of Jingle Jangle Nick was waving under her nose.

"(Y/N) don't do it," Archie warned from across the room.

"Yeah (Y/N). Listen to big brother Archie, like always." Reggie taunted, earning a laugh from Josie who was already too drunk. "You're wasting your time Nick, she doesn't like having fun. She's too far up her own ass."

"Actually Nick, I'd love some." (Y/N) decided. She glared at Reggie as she snatched the drugs from Nick's hand.

"(Y/N)," Archie tried again but it was too late. She had already torn open the top and tipped the whole lot into her mouth.
