Evangeline sat on the couch beside Rebekah, chatting happily with her while Freya finished up her protection spell on the house. Hours had passed since she and Elijah had told the rest of the family of their newfound relations with one another, and it was not very surprising to hear that everyone, excluding Klaus, was over the moon about it. As she sat snuggled up under the blanket talking to Rebekah, receiving the very 'I told you so' that she expected to hear, Evangeline couldn't help but smile as she saw Elijah enter the living room with Klaus and Kol. When he approached, he handed her a glass of blood and she scooted over so that he could slid in beside her. Rebekah watched in pure joy as her brother placed an arm around Evangeline and pulled her to his side. Elijah looked finally at peace. It wasn't until Evangeline dropped the glass of blood, the dish shattering upon impact with the floor and blood splattering everywhere, that Elijah's face flashed with worry. At that very moment her body began to convulse violently, her eyes glazing over as she did so.
"Evangeline!" He cried out, throwing his glass on the side table next to the couch and taking ahold of her to shoulders to try and steady her trembling form.
"Freya! Come quick! Something is happening to Evangeline!" Rebekah called, grasping the young witch's hand and squeezing it tightly.
"What's going on?!" Freya rushed in seconds later, her eyes landing on Evangeline's body as it convulsed before her. "She's having another vision!"
"Why is she shaking like that?" Kol gasped, a confused expression on his face.
"It appears that the intensity of this particular vision is stronger than the last. It's overtaking her body, filling her very soul. She won't stop trembling until the vision is complete."
"But how long will that be?!" Rebekah held onto Evangeline's hand desperately. "Look at her face! She seems to be in pain!"
"I can't say how long a vision will last, but I do know that with this amount of power, it must be someone from the ancestors wanting her to receive a message."
"Freya, is there anything you can do?" Elijah pleaded, still trying to control Evangeline's vicious shaking.
"No, I'm sorry, Elijah. Just like the last time, I we have to let the magic run its course."
"This is madness." Kol gasped out, wincing as Evangeline's face contorted in pain, her eyes still glazed over. "I can't sit here and watch this!"
"Kol, we all need to be her support." Elijah cut in, holding Evangeline tightly. "We need to remind her that she has people to come back to. Maybe then she will be able to pull away from whatever is controlling her."
"Elijah is right." Freya nodded. "It might be a long shot, but it's worth a try."
Kol nodded quickly, taking Evangeline's other hand into his own and pulling it close to his heart. He then followed Rebekah and Elijah's movements, holding the young vampire witch close while trying their best to comfort her while she convulsed, her vision having taken complete control. Freya watched with bated breath, the feeling of guilt washing over her for the fact that she could not help the girl, someone who she and her family had vowed to keep safe. So, when Evangeline suddenly jerked forward, her eyes widening and her mouth gasping for air, all the Mikaelsons breathed a sigh of relief. Even Klaus, who had stayed silent throughout the entire scene, looked a bit relieved. As Evangeline held on tightly to Kol and Rebekah's hands, she continued to intake large quantities of air, her breathing becoming less shallow and more normal. Once she was seemed to catch her breath, she was acutely aware of the tears that dripped down her cheeks. It was a rarity that she cried, the feeling almost so foreign that she didn't notice it was happening. As the Mikaelsons stared at her in shock, seeing tears stream down Evangeline's cheeks for the very first time, Elijah simply rubbed her back in a reassuring manner, reaching forward to gently wipe the water from her eyes. Evangeline took a deep breath, touched by his gesture, as she moved to do the same. After cleaning her face enough so that she could see clearly, Evangeline met the worried eyes of the family before her.
"Evangeline, what did you see?" Freya asked quietly, her eyes filled with a mixture of worry and confusion.
"I saw Marcel's men, even more than the last. He knows where I am, where we all are. He's sending more to come for me, and if they fail, he plans on coming himself." Evangeline whispered, tucking a piece of her raven black hair behind her ear. "But that's not even the most shocking part. It was my mother who sent me the vision. It was her voice that I heard while I watched the scene play out before me."
"You were right, Freya." Rebekah spoke quietly. "Céleste was communicating to Evangeline through the ancestors."
"Evangeline, did you get a sense of how long it would be before they decided to come?" Freya asked.
"Soon. Very soon."

Evangeline lay silently beside Elijah, her breathing calm and peaceful. She was still a little shaken up from her vision, but thankfully, he had helped calm her greatly. Marcel had sent more men, the ones that remained after the week still circling the property outside. The sudden worry of Marcel's men finding her was still very prominent in the Mikaelsons' minds, and Freya had suggested Evangeline stay away from the front of the house out of fear of her being seen through the windows. Elijah had so graciously invited Evangeline into his room for the time being, since hers had a large bay window facing the front yard. Evangeline smiled against Elijah's chest as she thought of how quickly he brought her into his bed. The thought pleasing to her and also making her chuckle. Despite the fact that they should have been worrying, Elijah kept her mind calm in a way that both learned to very much enjoy. It kept them busy while the rest of the family protected the house, as well as continued to reassure Elijah's feelings. Evangeline had done nothing but doubt him since they first got together, however the more days that passed, the more she began to realize that Elijah had stayed true to the words he spoke the first night they spent together. He was not going to back away out of fear. He truly did love her, and he continued to show her in any and every way that he knew how. As she listened to Freya chanting her spells downstairs, Rebekah and Kol chatting with one another, and Klaus pouring himself yet another drink, she looked up to see Elijah watching her. His brown eyes twinkled in the soft light of the bedside lamp as he leaned down to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. She smiled, nuzzling deeper into his chest and placing her arm across his abdomen. Even though Marcel was planning to steal her back, sending men for her, and with the possibility of him coming himself, Evangeline still felt oddly as peace in Elijah's arms. For she knew, that just for this one moment in time, it felt like the world was perfect.
