Kol immediately brought Evangeline home, both running as fast as they could to get safely inside. Knowing Freya had a barrier around the house, neither thought much of it. But, little did they know, Diego had followed them back.

As Kol rushed Evangeline inside, they attracted the attention of Rebekah and Klaus who were chatting in the living room. Both originals stood and stared at the two as stumbled into the house. Kol looked up at his brother and sister, and they could instantly tell something happened.

"Kol, what did you do?!" Rebekah snapped, seeing the worry flash across Evangeline's face.

"I'm so sorry, Bex. I didn't expect-"

"What happened?!" Rebekah exclaimed.

"He knows." Evangeline whispered. "Marcel knows where I am."

"What?!" Klaus and Rebekah both yelled at the same time, causing Freya and Elijah both to enter the room.

"What's going on?" Freya asked concernedly.

"Marcel knows. He knows where she is." Rebekah screamed, terror flashing across her expression.

Without saying another word, Elijah took three steps forward and grasped Kol by the collar of his shirt, lifting him up high on the doorframe.

"How could you let this happen?!" Elijah roared. "You were in charge of her! You were supposed to keep her safe!"

"Elijah, I'm sorry, I-" Kol began, but Elijah pressed him harder into the wall before turning to his siblings.

"How could any of you be so incredibly stupid as to let Kol take her out of this house?!"

"Elijah, you obviously weren't in the mood to take her, so I though Kol might-" Rebekah began but Elijah cut her off.

"With all the mistakes you've been making lately, sister, you'd think you would have thought this one through."

"Elijah!" Evangeline snapped, causing the entire family to stare at her with open mouths. "How dare you speak to her like that! This isn't her fault! I know we didn't expect something like this to happen, but we will figure this out calmly and rationally. Now, put your brother down before I have step in myself."

Elijah let out a loud huff, but did as she said, releasing the hold that he had on his youngest brother. Kol felt his feet touch the ground and he took a few steps away from his brother, absentmindedly rubbing his neck.

"Let's all just sit down and let them tell us what happened." Freya proposed, watching everyone nod in agreement.

Elijah turned to her with daggers in his eyes, but followed everyone into the living room to sit down.

"Kol, why don't you start?"

"Evangeline took me out to where Elijah usually trains her. We fought a little, and she held me off pretty well. Then the vampires showed up. It was that pesky Diego and another one I don't know by name. I killed the unnecessary one, but Diego got away. I looked for him, but with no luck, we came straight back here."

"You let him get away?" Klaus snapped. "You're an original vampire, Kol. Explain to me how that happened."

"Nik, I was a little bruised from the magic-"

"Magic?" Elijah cut in. "You made her use magic?!"

"Elijah, I was just practice-" Evangeline tried to comfort him, but he cut her off.

"Practicing magic is the reason you two got caught!"

"Seriously?!" Evangeline exclaimed, startling everyone as she stood from the couch and stalked straight up to where Elijah was standing. "Are you seriously lecturing us right now? You have no right to criticize anyone here on any of today's, or past events. Kol was trying to help out. Rebekah was trying to help out. You cannot stand here and yell at everyone for making mistakes when you weren't even present when we made the decisions! You'd rather sulk upstairs about what happened between us than face the music. Maybe if you had taken me out yourself, or maybe if you hadn't ignored me the past two days, things would have gone differently. But that's not what happened. We need to face the fact that, yes, Kol and I were caught tonight, and yes, now Marcel knows where I am, but we need to figure out a plan rather than yell and point fingers to who's at fault. I am not doing this with you again, Elijah. You can't keep switching moods. I'm exhausted of trying to figure out how you're going to wake up in the morning. I'm tired of you acting like you don't care and then suddenly you're blowing up because I wasn't protected? You can't do this, Elijah. Not with me. You either care, or you don't. You can't choose both or you can bet that I will walk right out of this house and continue running for the rest of my life. At least it will be better than living under the same roof as someone who can't decide whether they actually want me to be here or not."

Elijah's mouth parted slightly as Evangeline finished screaming at him. Instead of waiting for a response, she began to storm up the stairs, leaving everyone behind to try and pick out the pieces to the puzzle that was Evangeline and Elijah's relationship.
