Evangeline awoke in a foreign bed, but she felt oddly comfortable. A small knock on the door caused her to sit up as Freya entered the room.

"Hi there." Freya smiled, walking over to the side of the bed and handing Evangeline a blood bag. "I brought you something to eat. I thought you might be hungry."

"Thank you." Evangeline smiled, enjoying the kindness that the eldest Mikaelson was showing her. "I was actually feeling quite hungry."

Freya moved to sit on the side of the bed, watching as Evangeline pulled the cap off of the bag and slowly sucked the red liquid.

"I didn't wake you coming in, did I?"

"No, not at all." Evangeline replied, pulling the top of the bag from her lips. "I was awake when you knocked."

Freya smiled, crossing her legs. "I don't know if you're up for it, but while Klaus and Elijah are gone today, I thought maybe you would want to practice a few spells? I can give you tips or pointers if you'd like."

"That would be great!" Evangeline smiled before letting out a chuckle. "I feel so weird that I know everything about your entire family, but know nothing about you."

"It appears that your mother didn't know I existed." Freya laughed. "Much like my own family didn't for more than a thousand years."

"Where were you? If you don't mind me asking."

"You know of our mother, Esther, yes?"

"Of course."

"Well, back before any of us were born, she was infertile. She desperately wanted children and she went to the only person she thought could help. Our Aunt Dahlia." Freya scrunched up her nose, seeming disgusted at the thought of her aunt. "She was even more powerful than Esther, and she was able to give our mother the ability to have children. But, for a price. The first born of each generation had to be given to her. Esther agreed."

"So she gave you away? Just like that?" Evangeline gasped.

"With little remorse."

"I'm so sorry."

"That's quite alright. My siblings helped defeat her a few years before Marcel took over. She came for Klaus' child."

"That's right. I read about that in my mother's journal. He had a one night stand with some werewolf girl named Hayley."

"Yes. He has a daughter named Hope."
