I am reposting this chapter, because after I put it up the first time, I wanted to make some tweaks to the storyline. So, if you have read any time before 2/18/18, I would advise you to read over it again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience! Enjoy! 💕

It had been a few weeks since Evangeline had her violent vision, and Marcel's men slowly began to disappear. One by one, they stopped returning to the property until, soon enough, they stopped coming all together. The silence was unnerving, driving everyone in the family mad. Klaus and Kol would stand in the living room watching the front yard for hours, waiting to catch sight of any vampires roaming around, but yet, the forest was silent, and it stayed that way for another week. With even more to worry about, over the last few days, Evangeline had fallen ill, barely getting out of Elijah's bed, and when she did, she would throw up violently in the bathroom. The first time, Elijah had immediately brought her a cup of blood, which she spat up seconds after it went down. The same scenario would follow day after day until the Mikaelsons had watched her body weaken from the lack of nutrition. She couldn't seem to keep anything down and would sleep all day long. Elijah stayed by her side constantly, attempting to nurse her back to health, but coming up short every time. His siblings would watch him stay up day and night, holding Evangeline in his arms and trying to get her to eat, to which now, she would push it away.
As Rebekah, Freya, and Kol sat at the kitchen table a few days later, continuing to ponder over what could be wrong, they realized that nothing they came up with seemed to be a logical possibility.
"I don't know what it could be!" Freya gasped out in desperation. "I've read through every spell book I own, and I've found nothing!"
"She's a vampire." Rebekah cut in. "Vampires can't get sick! Not unless they have a werewolf bite or something, and she doesn't have a scratch on her!"
"I've been doing spells on her non stop over the past couple of days and she seems perfectly normal. I just don't get why she can't keep anything down."
"Maybe she pregnant." Kol chuckled, trying to make a joke to lighten the mood.
"Kol, we don't have time for your idiocy right now! This is serious!" Rebekah scolded, but was stopped immediately by Freya's raised hand.
The Mikaelson witch silently got up and walked over towards the sink, turning on the faucet. Before continuing on, she asked if Elijah or Klaus were listening in, to which both siblings shook their heads no.
"Kol might be onto something." Freya whispered once she returned to the table. "Think about it. Evangeline's powers survived through her transition. It's highly unlikely that she can procreate as a vampire, but it's not impossible with her odds."
"Oh my god." Rebekah nodded. "You're right. But how do we know for sure?"
"I'm going to need one of you to slip out and get a pregnancy test for me from the store."
