xx. I ONLY HOPE IT WAS PEACEFUL.
you speak if the ocean as if it's your home
your eyes, they light up with passion
the moment you hear the waves crashing
and the seagulls singing a lullaby into
shells only awaiting for your possession
we never quite understood
how you found your heart
at the oceans floor
while we still don't know what there is to exist
but you say
that it's the beauty of it all
the unknown
waiting to be discovered
we smiled
but never got to say goodbye
as you went missing the early morning
of our towns first snow fall
people took flashlights
and winter jackets
into the forest
and cried when they saw
the ice that had been broken through
a mystery solved
as to where you had ran off to
we patiently sat
with only a few tears pricking
our eyes for we knew you were happier
home
than you ever were
here.
