xxiii. JENGA BUT WITH STUPIDITY WRITTEN ON THE BLOCKS.
pulling out just to put it to the top
overdosing on common sense
when you watch someone else's
world tip to the ground
and you cover your mouth
as you laugh and point
and call them stupid for going towards
the bottom when the middle was calling their nameashes are all that's left
your building stands tall
and it's not long before you ask the same person
to play a game
of tug of war
with the bricks that make up all that you have becomeand because you continue to
swallow your confidence whole
instead of chewing firstit's not long before they pull hard
at the bottom
and they cover their mouth as they laugh
pointing
calling you names
as you watch your self esteem
your greediness
you as you are
crash to the ground
and crumble to the same ashes
that piled up the way their hasand you wonder
where it all went wrong as you both turn your back on one another
with matching knifes
stuck in the crevasses of
your spines.
