I sat across from Juelz in complete silence, looking at him it was hard to miss the obvious.... he had Uncle Zyshaun's cold dark eyes, my mom's nose, and Trinity's ears..... yeah he was definitely a Prater but I really didn't like this nigga. Noah was my favorite cousin and he hated Juelz so by definition I had to hate this nigga..... but Juelz was family too, despite what people thought about him we were connected through blood. Damn my family was kinda fucked; I had two cousins Noah and Juelz who shared a baby mom, but they hated each other. Juelz looked down at his wrist with was in a brace, which explained why he wasn't in Seattle where he played football...... honestly I wanted to get inside his head to figure out what he was thinking. He was hard to read kinda like Saint but I was also nervous because from what I heard Juelz was a little on the crazy side. I really wished that I hadn't agreed to do this but Uncle Zyshaun had a way of asking you to do something while at the same time making you feel like you didn't have a choice in the matter. I looked down at my watch and saw that I had been sitting here for almost an hour which was my limit, so I started to get up when Juelz finally spoke.
"That was a good game tonight, with a little more coaching you could probably get a full ride to any college you wanted....." Juelz said and I sat back down remembering why I was really here. "Look.... I feel like we haven't had the chance to get to know each other, I went my whole life without knowing my family and since I'm going to be around a lot more because of Jakari I figured I'd try to get to know at the very least my little cousin." Juelz said.
"What happened between you and Noah? I mean I got the gist of it.... y'all were boys and you tried to rob him, which in my opinion was pretty stupid. Noah is the most caring and giving person I know and he's loyal to a fault, I'm sure if you would've asked him he would've given it to you with no questions asked, and that wasn't even the worse of it you were actually stupid enough to try and rob Saint....." I said shaking my head.
"I was young and stupid....... but when you grew up the way I did.... look I'm not about to make up excuses for my fuck ups. I don't regret much in life but that is one of the things I wished I could take back...... I can count on one hand how many people I actually considered a true friend and Noah was one of those people and I fucked that up....." Juelz said shrugging. "It is what it is, I'm stuck with that nigga now because of our kids.... which is why I wanted to talk to you." Juelz said.
"If Noah was such a close friend to you why do you insist on trying to steal his girl away? Jade isn't exactly my favorite person right now but Noah loves her to death..... and you're making things more difficult for them by constantly popping up and being a fuckin creep." I said looking into his eyes.
"You're young so you wouldn't understand...... love isn't something you can control and Jade snuck up on me, yeah at first I only wanted to get with her to get back at Noah because I was bitter about what happened but somewhere along the line I fell for her and those feelings just don't go away......" Juelz said.
"Then why did you set up what happened at the wedding?" I asked and Juelz face contorted with rage and I'm not going to lie this nigga looked a little scary.
"Is that what y'all niggas think? That I was behind that shyt? My fuckin son was there and the love of my life, you may not know me but I would NEVER do anything to put Jakari or Jade in danger." Juelz said his whole body shaking. "Justice.... I'm done with all the petty shyt, I just wanna spend some time with my son and you can help me with that." Juelz said.
"Noah, nor Jade have ever stopped you from seeing Jakari...... they just don't want you popping up whenever you feel like it, honestly I think they're being more than fair. If I was Noah we'd have to fight every time we saw each other. But how can I help you?" I asked curiously.
"I wanna talk to Noah.... and I feel like since you are the one thing we have in common other than Jade I feel like you could set up a little sitdown between the two of us. Zyshaun.... he seems distracted and Jade will hang up on me whenever I mention Noah's name, I'm trying to be an adult here and make peace for the sake of my son." Juelz said and I shrugged, I really hated being a mediator, I wasn't cut out for it.....
"Just outta curiosity whatever happened to the other dudes that tried to help you rob Noah?" I asked checking my phone, Julio had just sent me a pic of him wearing nothing but one of my jerseys and I knew it was time for me to get home.
"One I still talk to every now and then, he lives in Minnesota and the other one..... he dropped off the face of the planet, I actually haven't heard from him since after all that shyt happened." Juelz said, I nodded and got up never committing to Juelz that I would talk to Noah but I guess I could mention it to him and pray he doesn't toss me out his house.......
"My daddy gone bitch....." Troix said stomping away from the door and I could tell he wasn't feeling the fact that he got left behind.
"Troix watch your mouth....." Cori said from the couch, Jakari was sitting on his lap reading while the twins crawled around on the floor. "Noah and Jade went to Atlanta for his game against the Falcons so they won't be back until Sunday night..... which is why I'm here." Cori said irritated.
"Oh okay.... you have fun with these little heathens...... Alex and Lauren told me what happened when they babysat them so you're going to have your work cut out for you. What made them come to you to watch them instead of Uncle Khalil and Uncle Marcus?" I asked and Cori smirked.
"A roundtrip ticket to see Paris in D.C. she's only been gone for a week and I already miss her so I'm going to fly out to see her next weekend." Cori said and I nodded before walking out the house. When I got back to the house my dad's car was gone so he was probably out slutting around which was cool with me because that meant he wouldn't interrupt me while I was with Julio. I walked through the house looking for Julio and found him in the basement.
"What are you doing down here?" I asked walking over to him and he pulled away from me. "Don't start with the attitude man, I had something to do and...... what's this?" I asked looking at the pool table and then back at Julio realizing he was fully clothed.
"Right now we're beefin..... I remember in class how you were talking about how you could beat my ass in pool so I figured we could play strip pool......" Julio said looking in my eyes. "If you make a ball I'll strip, if I make a ball I get to see a part of that sexy ass body of yours." Julio said pushing past me.
"Or.... I got a better idea..... why don't we just cut all the games and I fuck you on this pool table." I asked pulling him into my arms. "I'm horny, that game tonight has me wired and you were looking so good in class today that I was tempted to drop all pretenses and let it be known you were my dude just so I could kiss you...... matter fact speaking of school." I said taking my belt off and handing it to him. "I really don't appreciate you walking around all day with your ass hanging out..... you don't realize how hard it was for me not to slide all the niggas I caught looking at your ass."
"Okay.... then you gotta stop walking around in sweatpants, all them birds talking about your dickprint.... now break." He said handing me a pool stick. I looked at it for a second and dropped it. "Come on Justice let's play....." Julio said pleading with his beautiful eyes.
"Nah I'll just strip because I already know the deal and you're not about to scam me, I know your dad is a card shark and he's a master at pool.... I'm not about to take a 'L' to my dude.... so I concede." I said smiling. "Aight so here's what we can do instead..... we can go to WalMart grab a bunch of snacks, then go get some weed from Trinity, and come back here and watch movies. Then tomorrow while you're at work I'll go grab a few things and tomorrow will be a special night for just you and me, how does that sound?" I asked and Julio smiled a little bit. Julio walked into my arms and kissed me gently.....
"I was really hoping we could play pool Justice....." He said sucking on my neck and my fuckin leg started shaking like I was a fuckin dog. "Please....." He said quietly and my body started acting on its own and I nodded before picking up the pool stick. "I'll break...." Julio said bending over in front of me and I could resist pulling his pants down and biting down on his ass. "Fuck....." Julio moaned and I knew we were about to have a good night..................
