Toussaint won his first argument with me in months, but did he really win? See I only let him think he won because as much as I loved Mama Angela, I hated how she worked us like slaves during the holidays or every family gathering so I made Saint think that I didn't want to do this when in all actuality I didn't mind. I sat at his desk going over everything I knew about Caprice Evan..... so far his background was squeaky clean but I knew that didn't mean shyt, hell my background was squeaky clean and I've done some pretty fucked up shyt in my life. I knew he was represented by Prater Sports, so finding out his routine was as easy as making a phone call and from what I understood he'd be at the gym later today. I looked across the office and smirked, Jade had me babysitting and I'm not going to lie I wasn't the best babysitter, my approach was to make sure they didn't do anything to injure themselves and leave them to their own devices. Troix was flipping all around as per usual, while Jakari sat on the couch reading a book, as the door opened Gonzo and Leilani walked in, Lelani was Vanessa's best friend and Saint's unofficial assistant.
"UNCA BONZO!!!!!" Troix said jumping off the couch and running towards Gonzo, who picked him up and Troix turned towards Leilani and smirked. "You cute bitch......" Troix said blushing and Leilani rolled her eyes.
"Troix you say that every time you see me....." Leilani said. "Mario, Adrienne has started filming and she needs Saint to sign some papers so when you talk to him let him know they're filming some scenes in San Antonio. So it shouldn't take too long for him to drive down there and sign them..... it doesn't have to be today because mostly everyone is heading home for Thanksgiving." Leilani said looking down at her phone. "Gotta go....." She said walking off and of course, Troix had to say something.
"Bye bitch....." Troix said waving.
"Troix watch your mouth." Gonzo said setting Troix down before walking over to Saint's desk, he looked around sadly and shook his head. "It's weird being here.... the arguments me and Zy had in this room were...... never mind so I've made sure that he'll definitely be at the gym and little later, and you're not going to tell me what you and Saint are planning?"
"I just wanna talk to him.... nothing more than that, you mind taking these little angels with you I gotta make a run and these little dudes can't come with me, just take them over to Zyshaun's house and I'll be over there shortly." I said getting up and Gonzo nodded as he passed me another file on Caprice Evan......
I didn't really have anything else to do I just wanted to get into position for when Caprice arrived, I worked out in the gym and a lot of things went through my mind; I remembered the night Zyshaun found me sleep in the park and let me stay with them after my parents had attacked me, I remember how he always included me in every family trip, he even paid for me to go to college.... in a lot of ways Zyshaun was my adoptive father. It hurt my heart that he wouldn't be there for the birth of me and Saint's son.... which was another thing I was worried about, I was afraid I would be the type of father that my own dad was and I didn't want that for my son.... my bio loved his daughters but he despised his only son. The gym was empty for the most part because of the holidays which was perfect for me and my plan.... right on schedule Caprice walked in and I'm not going to lie, dude was cute.
"Sup....." He said looking at me a little too hard, yeah once again Saint's instincts were perfect this dude was clearly gay or bi. "Ayy you're Saint's dude right."
"Yeah......" I said in a very meek voice and pushing my hair behind my ear bashfully and just like that I had his ass. "You're Noah's teammate..... Colin or no Caprice..... I'm sorry I don't really follow the sport much." I said lying my ass off.
"Weren't you a sports writer?" He asked and I had to admit I wasn't expecting him to know that little bit of information.
"Umm yeah but..... I mainly covered basketball." I said and he nodded.
