Oh my god, two lines!
My fingers started to shake as I held the pregnancy test, excitement and fear raced through my body.
Instinctively my hand went to my lower stomach.
What do I tell Shikamaru?
How do I tell him?
"Hey, y/n, I'm home." I heard the front door close as he took his shoes off and walked softly across our wooden floor, right to our bedroom.
"Y/n?"
"Y-yeah?" I answered, trying to keep my voice from shaking.
"Are you alright?" His voice was now in front of the bathroom door.
I didn't speak for a moment, I had no idea how to tell him, and I couldn't hide it, he would figure it out once I stopped drinking the occasional sake and gaining more weight.
"No...Shika..."
"What's wrong? Open the door, please."
I slowly opened the door and looked at him, my left hand holding the pregnancy test behind my back before I held it out for him to take.
"Huh? What's-" He went silent as he looked at it, his face began to turn red
"R-really?" His eyes met mine and he smiled at me.
"I'm going to be a dad......"
He pulled me closer to him, his arms wrapping around my waist.
"You're going to be a great mother, Y/N."
