Ever since your boys turned four, Raphie has been going on walks with you through the sewers
It's also kind of a way to help him with his anger. You and Raph are walking.
He suddenly stops and runs to a corner of the tunnel. Confused, you follow him.
He's holding a baby box turtle in his arms. The turtle has a small crack on the top of his shell, the carapace.
Raph looks up at you sadly. "Mummy, he's hurt." "Can I take him home?" "Please?"
He looks at you with big, sad eyes and you just can't resist. You smile and nod.
"You may, but you need to ask Splinter first, OK?" You hope Splinter says yes...
He nods. "Ok mummy." He picks up the turtle and carries him all the way home.
Once you reach home, Splinter is meditating. "Splinty, look what Raphie found."
He looks up at you, then at Raph's arms. "What did you find my son?" He asks.
Raph opens his arms and shows Splinter the turtle. Splinter smiles.
"May I keep him?" "Please daddy?" He begs Splinter with his best pleading eyes.
Splinter thinks a moment and smiles. "You may keep him Raphael, but you must take good care of him."
Raph immediately lights up and hugs you and Splinter tightly. He smiles at his new best friend.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He cheers hugging his pet turtle tightly in his arms.
"Have you found a name for him?" You ask, gesturing to the tiny turtle.
Raph nods proudly. "His name is Spike!" He says. "That's a good name." Splinter replys.
Leo, Donnie and Mikey then walk in and see Spike. They run over and ask to pet him.
Raph frowns and hides Spike at first but then gives in and lets his brothers hold Spike.
You kiss his head. "Good boy Raphie." You say. You pet Spike and Raph goes to his room.
Ever since that day Raph and Spike were the best of friends and did everything together.
Raph loves talking to Spike when he is angry or upset which you find absolutely adorable!
"Little Raphie has a pet."
