When You and Splinter Argue

You and Splinter have always been happy together and rarely fight or have arguments. However, sometimes tempers flare and a storm brews between the two of you.

Your making tea for you and Splinter since it's mid morning and you usually drink tea at this time.

Splinter loves his tea, but he hates green tea which is your favorite. He prefers chamomile.

As your making the tea on the stove, you accidentally make Splinter green tea without knowing since your exhausted.

You didn't sleep well last night since Vivian was curled up at your side from the scary movie fiasco last night.

It's not pleasant to sleep with a small foot kicking you all night.

So, needles to say your tired and not in the best mood this morning. Which is not a good thing...

You finish the tea and place it in front of Splinter so he can drink it. He takes a sip and immediately spits it out.

"This is green tea!" He sputters. "You know I hate green tea, why would you give it to me?!"

You look up in shock, then anger. "I didn't do it on purpose, you don't have to freak out, it's just tea." You say calmly.

"That is not the point, (Y/N)!" He shouts, becoming angry. "You know how much I despise green tea!"

Your shocked at how Splinter is acting. He rarely gets angry or even argues with you. What's going on with him?

"It's not a big deal Yoshi, your overreacting!" You say, quickly becoming angry.

With a cry of anger, Splinter pours the tea all over your shirt. Luckily it wasn't too hot so it didn't burn you but it stained your shirt.

You gasp in shock as you feel the warm tea soak into your clothes and the floor before you.

Your eyes water and you immediately run to the bedroom, slam the door behind you and lay down on the bed, sobbing.

A few moments later the boys and Vivian walk in a bit timidly. They must have heard you and Splinter arguing.

"Mum, are you ok?" Leo asks quietly as he climbs on the bed, and hugs you. The rest of the boys join in on the hug.

"I'm f-fine boys, your father and I just had a little argument, everything is ok." You sniff, wiping your eyes.

"What?!" Raph yells in shock. "Father never gets mad, what was the argument about?"

"Well, I was making tea for the both of us and I accidentally made him green tea which he hates so he argued, then he poured it all over my shirt!"

You wipe the tears from your eyes as Mikey kisses your wet cheek. "Don't be sad mum." He murmurs, stroking your fur.

You smile a bit and hug him. "I'll try not to be." You reply with a shakey voice. Your sons continue hugging you.

Vivian then walks in and immediately hugs you.  "What's the matter mummy, why are you crying?" She asks.

You sigh. "I'm ok baby, your daddy and I just had a little fight, everything is fine." You say.

"Mummy, you and daddy never fight!" She says in fear. "That's not like daddy, why was he mad?"

"It's nothing important baby, just a little bit of an argument over some tea, it's nothing to worry about." You say you calm her.

She pouts and hugs you, nuzzling her face to yours, frowning at your tear-stained cheeks. She silently gets up and storms off to the dojo where Splinter is.
